Eric Takabatake
Eric Takabatake (born 9 January 1991) is a Brazilian judoka. He is a two-time gold medalist in the men's 60 kg event at the Pan American Judo Championships. He competed in the men's 60 kg event at the 2014 World Judo Championships held in Chelyabinsk, Russia. He was eliminated in his third match by Beslan Mudranov of Russia. In 2020, he won the gold medal in the men's 60 kg event at the Pan American Judo Championships held in Guadalajara, Mexico. In 2021, he competed in the men's 60 kg event at the Judo World Masters held in Doha, Qatar. In June 2021, he won one of the bronze medals in the mixed team event at the 2021 World Judo Championships held in Budapest, Hungary. Beslan Zaudinovich Mudranov (russian: Беслан Заудинович Мудранов; born 7 July 1986) ( Circassian: Мудран Беслъэн) is a Russian judoka (since 2008) and former Sambo wrestler (2003–2008) of Circassian descent. He won two gold medals in 2012 European Judo Championships and 2014 European Judo Championships. His coach is Rudolf Mikhailovich Baboyan. Beslan earned Russia's first gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Personal life Mudranov was born in 1986 in Baksan, Kabardino-Balkar ASSR. He began training in martial arts at the age of 13. Upon the recommendation of his younger brother, he started as a Sambist, then also practised freestyle wrestling. 2014 World Judo Championships
The 2014 World Judo Championships were held in Chelyabinsk, Russia, from 25–31 August 2014, in the Traktor Ice Arena. Each participating country was permitted to present a total of 18 men and women judokas to participate in the 14 weight categories (7 male and 7 female), but no more than two judokas from the same country were allowed to fight in the same category. Bids Bids were made by Azerbaijan, Russia, South Korea, United Arab Emirates, and the United States to the International Judo Federation for the initial staging of the championships.
