Eric Friedler
Eric Friedler (born September 8, 1954) is a former professional tennis player from the United States. Biography Friedler grew up in Chicago and attended Evanston Township High School. From 1972 to 1976 he was at the University of Michigan, where he played on the varsity tennis team. He was an All-American collegiate player in 1975 and a two-time Big Ten Doubles Champion. Following graduation he competed professionally on tour, until 1980. During his career he competed in all four Grand Slam tournaments, in either singles or doubles. Most of his doubles appearances were with Jerry Karzen, including his only main draw entry at Wimbledon in 1977. He was runner-up in the doubles at a Grand Prix tournament in Lafayette in 1979, with Victor Amaya. In singles his best result was a semi-final in Atlanta in 1979, when managed wins over Ferdi Taygan, Rick Meyer and David Schneider. The 14th Maccabiah Games brought 5,100 athletes to Israel from 48 nations. Peter Fleming (tennis)
Peter Blair Fleming (born January 21, 1955 in Chatham Borough, New Jersey) is an American former professional tennis player. In his doubles partnership with John McEnroe, he won 52 titles, of which seven were at Grand Slams (four at Wimbledon, three at the US Open). As a singles player, he peaked at world No. 8, winning three titles (including the 1979 Cincinnati Open). Tennis career Fleming attended Chatham High School, where he won the New Jersey high school individual championship in 1972, during his junior year. He won the men's singles in the Ojai Tennis Tournament in 1975. During the 1980s, Fleming teamed up with fellow American John McEnroe to dominate the men's doubles game. David Schneider (born 17 May 1955) is a former professional South-African-Israeli tennis player, originally from South Africa. Schneider won three gold medals at the 1973 Maccabiah Games, in the men's singles, men's doubles, and mixed doubles.
