Eric Santana Calvillo Ramirez (born 2 January 1998) is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for USL Championship club El Paso Locomotive. Born in the United States, he represents the El Salvador national team. Club career New York Cosmos Calvillo signed with the New York Cosmos on January 15, 2016. He made 21 appearances and scored 4 goals for the NASL side, and was with the team, when it won the Soccer Bowl 2016 and was the runner-up for the Soccer Bowl 2017. He was the runner-up for the 2017 NASL Young Player of the Year. San Jose Earthquakes On January 20, 2018, the San Jose Earthquakes of MLS signed Calvillo to a multiyear contract. He was then sent to San Jose's USL affiliate, Reno 1868, on a temporary loan basis, and made his first appearance as a starter in Reno's 3–4 loss to Swope Park Rangers on March 17, 2018. 2018 USL Season
The 2018 USL season was the eighth season of the United Soccer League and second under Division II sanctioning. The previous season, the USL had provisional Div. II sanctioning from the United States Soccer Federation (U.S. Soccer) along with the North American Soccer League, but was given full sanctioning for the 2018 season with a two-year deadline to meet the full requirements set by U.S. Soccer. The 2017 North American Soccer League season was the 50th season of Division II soccer in the United States and Canada, and the 7th season of the modern North American Soccer League. The defending champions are the New York Cosmos who defeated Indy Eleven in Soccer Bowl 2016. Eight clubs played in the NASL after provisional sanctioning by the United States Soccer Federation. The 2016 North American Soccer League season is the 49th season of Division II soccer in the United States and Canada, and the 6th season of the modern North American Soccer League. Three expansion clubs joined the league, with Miami FC and Rayo OKC joining in the Spring season and Puerto Rico FC beginning competition in the Fall season. In December, 2015, the San Antonio Scorpions' home stadium, Toyota Field, was bought by the city of San Antonio for use by Spurs Sports & Entertainment to host a club in the USL, forcing the Scorpions to cease operations. In January, 2016, the NASL suspended its operation of the Atlanta Silverbacks for the 2016 season and possibly beyond. Christian Mate Pulisic (; hr, Pulišić, ; born September 18, 1998) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a winger or attacking midfielder for club Chelsea and the United States national team.
