Eric Beaudoin
Eric P. Beaudoin (born May 3, 1980) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey forward. He played in the National Hockey League with the Florida Panthers. Playing career Born in Ottawa, Ontario, Beaudoin started his hockey career in the OHL. He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft. He has played for the Florida Panthers in the NHL as well as several AHL teams. In the fall of 2005, he signed with the Newcastle Vipers, but was released from his contract for a one-month tryout with Jokerit in the Finnish SM-liiga. When he was not signed on after the tryout, Beaudoin agreed to a subsequent two-game tryout with HPK that also did not lead to a contract. Eventually Beaudoin agreed to a contract for the rest of the season with Ässät, but instead signed with Mora IK in the Swedish Elitserien. 2014–15 KHL Season
The 2014–15 KHL season was the seventh season of the Kontinental Hockey League. The season started on 3 September with the Opening Cup between defending champions Metallurg Magnitogorsk and Dynamo Moscow, replacing Lev Praha, last year's runner up not participating this season. Team changes Prior to the season, the KHL added three more teams: Jokerit from Helsinki, Lada Togliatti (an earlier member of the KHL that spent the last four seasons in the VHL) and HC Sochi, an expansion team from Sochi. HC Donbass did not play in the league this season, due to Russian invasion of Ukraine which culminated in a devastating fire at their home arena. Donbass intended to rejoin KHL for the 2015–16 season, but ultimately joined the new Ukrainian Hockey Extra League. National League A
The National League (NL) is a professional ice hockey league in Switzerland and is the top tier of the Swiss league system. Prior to the 2017–18 season, the league was known as National League A. During the 2018–19 season, the league had an average of 6,949 spectators per game which is the highest among European leagues (ahead of the KHL with 6,397 and the DEL with 6,215). The capital city's club SC Bern has been ranked first of all European clubs for 18 seasons and had an average attendance of 16,290 after the regular season. The Swedish Hockey League (officially SHL; sv, Svenska Hockeyligan) is a professional ice hockey league, and the highest division in the Swedish ice hockey system. The league currently consists of 14 teams. The SM-liiga (marketed as just Liiga from 2013 on), (Finnish for ''League'') colloquially called the Finnish Elite League in English or FM-ligan in Swedish, is the top professional ice hockey league in Finland. It is one of the six founding leagues of the Champions Hockey League and currently allocated five spots - the maximum number - based on success in previous editions. It was created in 1975 to replace the SM-sarja, which was fundamentally an amateur league.
