Eraserheads Discography
Eraserheads are a Philippine alternative rock band. Formed in Quezon City in 1989, the group consists of singer Ely Buendia, bassist Buddy Zabala, guitarist Marcus Adoro, and drummer Raimund Marasigan. The Eraserheads discography consists of seven studio albums, two live albums, five compilation albums, three extended plays (EP), 21 singles, two video albums and 13 music videos. With their debut album '' Ultraelectromagneticpop!'' (1993) and the following albums '' Circus'' (1994) and '' Cutterpillow'' (1995), Eraserheads ushered in a second wave of Filipino rock bands in the 1990s. Their first three albums also achieved commercial success, with ''Cutterpillow'' becoming the third biggest-selling album in OPM history and the biggest for any Filipino band or group. Eraserheads (sometimes stylized as ERASƎRHEADS or ƎRASƎRHƎADS) are a Filipino alternative rock band formed in 1989. With a line-up comprising Ely Buendia, Buddy Zabala, Marcus Adoro, and Raimund Marasigan, the band became one of the most influential and successful in the history of Filipino music. The Philippine Association of the Record Industry (Filipino: ''Kapisanan ng Industriya ng Plaka ng Pilipinas'', abbreviated as PARI) is a non-profit and private trade organization, that represents the recording industry distributors in the Philippines. The PARI was formed on February 10, 1972, and today is composed of 14 corporate members and 13 associate members. The compact disc (CD) is a Digital media, digital optical disc data storage format that was co-developed by Philips and Sony to store and play digital audio recordings. Bertelsmann Music Group (BMG) was a division of a German media company Bertelsmann before its completion of sale of the majority of its assets to Sony Corporation of America on 1 October 2008. ''Natin99'' is the Eraserheads' sixth studio album. It was released by BMG Records (Pilipinas), Inc. in 1999 and the first Eraserheads album that came out of a non-linear recording approach, in which most of the musical parts were recorded separately in their respective home studios and pieced together by the band and producer Robin Rivera. Its title is a play on words for the year 1999. Title The album's title is a word play on 1999, with "19" being replaced with "natin" (the Filipino term for "our"). ''Sticker Happy'' (stylized in lowercase as ''sticker happy'') is the fifth studio album of the Filipino rock band Eraserheads. It was released under BMG Records (Pilipinas) Inc. on September 11, 1997. Produced by longtime collaborator Robin Rivera, the album contains eighteen tracks with a 67-minute runtime. The album cover generated controversy due to its content, which features a nude woman playing a piano while holding a red balloon in an open grass field. The woman was later revealed to be Filipino-Iranian television personality Joey Mead King. While still retaining their classic alternative rock sound, the band infused elements from techno and experimental rock music, leading to sonically different and expansive themes compared to their previous efforts.
