Equinox (Voyager Episode)
"Equinox" is a two-part episode of the science fiction television series '' Star Trek: Voyager'', the cliffhanger between the fifth and sixth seasons. This television episode features a 24th-century spacecraft, the '' USS Voyager'', lost on the opposite side of the Galaxy as Earth, the Delta Quadrant, and they must make their way home. In this installment, they encounter another Starfleet starship, the USS Equinox also stranded in the Delta Quadrant. This was presented in two parts, but aired several months apart, with part one airing on UPN on May 26, 1999 and the conclusion on September 22, 1999. The cliffhanger closed out season five, while the opener for season six was the conclusion. The two-part episode features Captain Ransom, played by actor John Savage, as well as several other guest stars. ''Slate'' is an online magazine that covers current affairs, politics, and culture in the United States. It was created in 1996 by former '' New Republic'' editor Michael Kinsley, initially under the ownership of Microsoft as part of MSN. In 2004, it was purchased by The Washington Post Company (later renamed the Graham Holdings Company), and since 2008 has been managed by The Slate Group, an online publishing entity created by Graham Holdings. Chakotay
Chakotay is a fictional character who appears in each of the seven seasons of the American science fiction television series '' Star Trek: Voyager''. Portrayed by Robert Beltran, he was First Officer aboard the Starfleet starship USS ''Voyager'', and later promoted to Captain in command of the ''USS Protostar'' in '' Star Trek: Prodigy''. The character was suggested at an early stage of the development of the series. He is the first Native American main character in the ''Star Trek'' franchise. This was a deliberate move by the producers of the series, who sought to provide an inspiration as with Uhura in ''Star Trek: The Original Series'' for African Americans. To develop the character, the producers sought the assistance of Jamake Highwater who falsely claimed to be Native American. Oh My Darling, Clementine
"Oh My Darling, Clementine" is a traditional American western folk ballad in trochaic meter usually credited to Percy Montross (or Montrose) (1884), although it is sometimes credited to Barker Bradford. Members of the Western Writers of America chose it as one of the Top 100 Western songs of all time. Synopsis Multiple variations of the song exist, but all center on Clementine, the daughter of a "miner forty-niner" and the singer's lover. One day while performing routine chores, Clementine trips and falls into a raging torrent and drowns, as her lover is unable to swim and declines to attempt to rescue her. In Montross's version, the song ends somewhat farcical by noting he will not go so far as necrophilia: "Though in life I used to hug her, now she's dead – I'll draw the line." Seven of Nine (born Annika Hansen) is a fictional character introduced in the American science fiction television series '' Star Trek: Voyager''. Portrayed by Jeri Ryan, she is a former Borg drone who joins the crew of the Federation starship ''Voyager''. Her full Borg designation was Seven of Nine, Tertiary Adjunct of Unimatrix Zero One. A wormhole (Einstein-Rosen bridge) is a hypothetical structure connecting disparate points in spacetime, and is based on a special Solutions of the Einstein field equations, solution of the Einstein field equations. Kathryn Janeway is a fictional character in the ''Star Trek'' franchise.
