Epaksa ( ko, 이박사, 李博士) is a South Korean Techno-trot singer. Born October 5, 1954 in Gyeonggi-do, his birth name is Lee Yong-Seok ( ko, 이용석). "Techno-trot" ( ko, 테크노 뽕짝) is a fusion genre of music which was popular in 1990s and early 2000s, and was well known as speedy tempo. Trot (music)
Trot (, ) is a genre of Korean popular music, known for its use of repetitive rhythm and vocal inflections. Originating during the Korea under Japanese rule, Japanese occupation of Korea in the first half of the 20th century, trot was influenced by many genres of Music of Korea, Korean, Music of Japan, Japanese, Music of the United States, American, and Culture of Europe#Music, European music. Trot has been around for almost 100 years and its distinct singing style has been continuously evolving. Trot music developed in rhythms during Japanese colonial rule. Denki Groove
is a Japanese music group founded in 1989. It consists of Takkyu Ishino and Pierre Taki. History Denki Groove was founded in 1989 by Takkyu Ishino and Pierre Taki, both of whom are natives of Shizuoka, Shizuoka Prefecture. The group's major-label debut studio album, ''Flash Papa'', was released in 1991, the first being ''662 BPM by DG'' in 1990. They also released a few albums, including ''U.F.O.'' (1991), ''Karateka'' (1992), ''Vitamin'' (1993), ''Dragon'' (1994), ''Orange'' (1996), ''A'' (1997), and ''Voxxx'' (2000). Their single, "Shangri-La", had sold more than half a million copies. They went on hiatus between 2001 and 2004. In 2019, Pierre Taki was arrested on suspicion of cocaine possession.
