Enur
Enur (also known as Artificial Funk) was a Danish electronic music duo. Career Artificial Funk was initially an alias of Rune Reilly Kölsch in the 1990s; in 2000, he joined forces with half brother Johannes Torpe to form the duo. They initially achieved some notoriety by being signed to Skint Records in 2002. In 2003, Artificial Funk released the track "Together", written by Kölsch and Nellie Ettison which was nominated for the Top 10 Tracks of the Year by ''DJ Mag''. It reached No. 67 on the Dutch Singles Chart. Rune and Torpe have also founded the labels ArtiFarti Records (2005), Tattoorec.com (2006) and Nightology Records (2008). In addition, Torpe runs a design company through Johannes Torpe studios in addition to Toolroom Records. Together they have won five DJ awards plus a Danish Grammy Award. Calabria (song)
"Calabria" is a song by Danish DJ/producer Rune Reilly Kölsch. It was originally released in 2003 by Credence, a sublabel of Parlophone Records. The song has been remixed or released in numerous other versions by different artists, the most successful being "Calabria 2007" by Enur with vocals by Natasja Saad. Others include records by Drunkenmunky, Dirty Laundry and Kaner in 2004, by Alex Gaudino featuring vocals from Crystal Waters on " Destination Calabria" in 2006, by Criminal Vibes in 2013 and by Firebeatz and Jaques Le Noir in 2014. In 2007, Pitbull and Lil Jon sampled "Calabria 2007" in " The Anthem". In 2014, British musician Guppy Slim played a set dedicated to "Calabria" at Casa Del Vibe in Bristol. Rune Reilly Kölsch
Rune Reilly Kölsch or simply Kölsch is a Danish electronic dance musician and DJ. He has worked with artists such as Coldplay, Imogen Heap, London Grammar, Tiga, Sasha and Michael Mayer. Career In 2003, Kölsch and Johannes Torpe released the track "Calabria", an instrumental house tune with a synthesized saxophone riff, on Credence, a sublabel of Parlophone Records, for which he received the Danish Music Award in 2004. In the 2000s, several remakes of "Calabria" were released, including a version by Drunkenmunky and a mashup titled "Destination Calabria" by Alex Gaudino featuring Crystal Waters, a veritable international hit in many countries, whilst in June 2022 two songs using the same sample were climbing the UK Top 30, one by DJ Nathan Dawe, the other by West London drill rapper Benzz. Raggatronic
''Raggatronic'' is the debut album by dance music group Enur. According to their Myspace, the album features reggae vocalists Natasja and Natalie Storm, Majid, Beenie Man, Chopper City Boyz, Nicki Minaj, Michael Rune and Strange Boy. The album is a result of the release of the single " Calabria 2008". Johannes Torpe got permission to remix Rune RK's 2003 instrumental hit song "Calabria". The remix received an overwhelming amount of attention and peaked at #9 in France, #3 in Canada, 3# in Portugal, and #17 in the U.S. and appeared in a commercial for the U.S. mass merchandise retailer Target. Reggae Fusion
Reggae fusion is a genre of reggae that mixes reggae and/or dancehall with other genres, such as pop, rock, hip hop, R&B, jazz, funk, soul, disco, electronic and latin. Origin Although artists have been mixing reggae with other genres from as early as the early 1970s, no official term had been used to describe this practice. Artists such as UB40 were described using terms that joined the various genres they performed (e.g. "reggae funk", "reggae pop", "reggae-disco"). Natasja Saad (31 October 1974 – 24 June 2007), also known as Dou T, Little T and Natasja, was a Danish singer and rapper. While already relatively successful in her native Denmark, her vocals on a popular reggae fusion remix of "Calabria" gained her worldwide fame and a number one spot on '' Billboard''s Hot Dance Airplay chart six months after her death in a car crash in Jamaica. Johannes Torpe
Johannes Torpe is a Danish designer, musician, producer, and former creative director of Bang & Olufsen (2011-2015). He has been the CEO and creative director of the design company Johannes Torpe Studios based in Copenhagen, Denmark. In 2000, Torpe and his half-brother, musician and DJ Reilly Kölsch (known as Rune RK) formed the music production duo Artificial Funk. Chopper City Boyz
The Chopper City Boyz was a New Orleans-based rap group signed to rapper B.G.'s Chopper City Records. The group was formed in 2003 consisting of B.G.'s younger brother Hakizzle, Gar and Snipe, then VL Mike became an addition to the group in early 2004. The group had been featured on B.G.'s solo albums as well as several mixtapes between 2003 and 2006. David Jamahl Listenbee, better known by his stage name GoonRock, is an American record producer, musician, singer, songwriter and rapper.
