''Entering a New Era'' () is a 2018 Chinese romantic comedy directed by Fu Ning and starring Lu Yi (actor), Lu Yi and Yuan Quan. It aired on Hunan Television starting November 5, 2018. Synopsis The series focuses on the life of a former soldier-turned-entrepreneur Fang Bangyan in the wave of China's reform and opening-up launched in 1978 by Deng Xiaoping. Lu Yi (, born 6 January 1976) is a Chinese actor and pop singer. Lu ranked 38th on ''Forbes'' China Celebrity 100 list in 2015, and 47th in 2017. Early life Lu Yi was born in Shanghai, China. Yuan Quan (, born 16 October 1977), also known as Yolanda Yuan, is a Chinese actress and singer. She graduated from the Central Academy of Drama where she majored in drama. Career Yuan starred in her first film ''Rhapsody of Spring'' (1998), which won her the Golden Rooster Award for Best Supporting Actress.
