Enrique Zuazua (Iriondo, second family name) is the Head of the Chair for Dynamics, Control, Machine Learning and Numerics - FAU DCN-AvH (Alexander von Humboldt Professorship) at the University of Erlangen–Nuremberg (FAU). He is also Distinguished Research Professor and the Director of the Chair of Computational Mathematics of DeustoTech Research Center of the University of Deusto in Bilbao, Basque Country, Spain and Professor of Applied Mathematics at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM). Eibar
Eibar ( eu, Eibar, es, Éibar) is a city and municipality within the province of Gipuzkoa, in the Basque Country of Spain. It is the head town of Debabarrena, one of the '' eskualde / comarca'' of Gipuzkoa. Eibar has 27,138 inhabitants ( Eustat, 2018). María de la Luz (Lucero) Jimena de Teresa de Oteyza (born 1965) is a Mexican and Spanish mathematician specializing in the control theory of parabolic partial differential equations. She is a researcher in the Institute of Mathematics at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), and a former president of the Mexican Mathematical Society. Ikerbasque, the Basque Foundation for Science, is a foundation promoted by the Basque Government in 2007 to contribute to the development of scientific research in the Basque Country by attracting researchers of excellence and consolidating careers, as well as actions to boost research.
