Enrique García Asensio
Enrique García Asensio (born 22 August 1937 in Valencia (city in Spain), Valencia, Spain) is a Spanish violinist, composer and conducting, conductor. In 1970, He was made as Professor of Orchestral Conducting at the Madrid Royal Conservatory. Asensio was also the conductor of the Spanish Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra (RTVE) from 1966 to 1984 and from 1998 to 2001. In 1997, due to a Spanish law that prohibited holding two positions financed with public funds simultaneously (professor at the Madrid Royal Conservatory and conductor of the RTVE orchestra in his case), Asensio resigned from his position as professor of the Madrid Royal Conservatory. In 1999, he conducted the Euskadi Symphony Orchestra at the 38th edition of the Week of Religious Music in Cuenca, Spain, Cuenca. Biography Early life Born in Bucharest, Romania in a Jewish family, he began violin studies at the age of five, was hired as a violinist by the Romanian State Ensemble while still in his teens, making his conducting debut at the age of 17. In his twenties he was named principal conductor of the Romanian National Opera, which he led from 1955 to 1959. Career He fled the Communist regime in 1959 and emigrated to Israel. In 1960 he founded the Ramat Gan Chamber Orchestra, which he led until 1967. He also directed the Haifa Symphony from 1959 until 1966. Odón Alonso
Odón Alonso Ordás (28 February 1925 – 21 February 2011) was a Spanish conducting, conductor and composer, best known for his film scores. Alonso was born at La Bañeza, León, Spain. He studied in Madrid, Siena, Salzburg and Vienna. His first engagements as a conductor date back to the years between 1952 and 1956 when he was performing with the orchestra and chorus of the Spanish National Radio station. In 1960 he took on the position of principal conductor at the Philharmonic Orchestra of Madrid; between 1968 and 1984, Alonso was musical director of the Radio Symphony Orchestra of the Spanish Broadcasting (''Orquesta Sinfónica de Radio Televisión Española''). Antoni Ros-Marbà
Antoni Ros-Marbà (; born 1937 in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat) is a Spanish people, Spanish conducting, conductor and composer from Catalonia. He began his musical education at the Conservatori Superior de Música de Barcelona. He studied conducting with Eduard Toldrà, Sergiu Celibidache, and Jean Martinon. He coached the last ''Giravolt de maig'' directed by Eduard Toldrà: "I worked directly with him. Accompanying the singers with piano, it was a wonderful moment", says Ros-Marbà.
