Enis Berberoğlu
Kadri Enis Berberoğlu (born 1 April 1956) is a Turkish politician and journalist from the Republican People's Party (CHP), who has served as the Member of Parliament for Istanbul's second electoral district since 2015. Since the 18th CHP Extraordinary Convention of 2014, he has been the Deputy Leader of the party responsible for media relations and communications. Early life and career Kadri Enis Berberoğlu was born on 1 April 1956 in Istanbul and graduated from St. George's Austrian High School in 1975. He graduated from Boğaziçi University and obtained a master's degree in the field of econometrics. Republican People's Party
The Republican People's Party ( tr, Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi, , acronymized as CHP ) is a Kemalist and social-democratic political party in Turkey which currently stands as the main opposition party. It is also the oldest political party in Turkey, founded by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the first president and founder of the modern Turkish Republic. Censorship In Turkey
Censorship in Turkey is regulated by domestic and international legislation, the latter (in theory) taking precedence over domestic law, according to Article 90 of the Constitution of Turkey (so amended in 2004). Despite legal provisions, freedom of the press in Turkey has steadily deteriorated from 2010 onwards, with a precipitous decline following the attempted coup in July 2016. Appeals function both as a process for error correction as well as a process of clarifying and interpreting law. Engin Altay
Engin Altay (born 15 December 1963) is a Turkish politician from the Republican People's Party (CHP) who serves as a Member of Parliament for the electoral district of Sinop since the 2002. He was re-elected in 2007, 2011, June 2015 and November 2015. On 30 June 2011, Altay was elected as one of the three CHP parliamentary group leaders, serving alongside Muharrem İnce, Akif Hamzaçebi and later Levent Gök.
