Catherine Engelhart Amyot
Catherine (Cathinca) Caroline Engelhart Amyot (1845–1926) was a Danish painter who specialized in portraits and genre works. She travelled widely, creating a number of works of historical interest. In 1869 she began exhibiting in Düsseldorf and Copenhagen. After marrying the English physician, Thomas Amyot, from 1879 to 1890 she exhibited frequently in the Paris Salon and in London's Royal Academy of Arts. Early life and education Born in Copenhagen on 6 February 1845, Catherine Caroline Engelhart was the adopted daughter of the Danmarks Nationalbank, National Bank official Christian Engelhart and his wife Nathalie née Rønne. She was raised in Copenhagen where she was taught to draw and paint by the Danish painter Carl Bøgh (1865–66) but, wishing to keep abreast of the latest developments in art, she travelled abroad from 1867. Alette Marie Engelhart, née Nicolaysen (7 May 1896 – 13 August 1984) was a Norwegian housewives' leader. Biography Alette was born in Kristiania as a daughter of captain and engineer Anton Martin Schweigaard Nicolaysen (1870–1907) and Dorothea Jeanette Horn (1870–1943). She was a niece of Hassa Horn and a grandniece of Hassa Horn, Sr. She finished her secondary education at Frogner School in 1915, and graduated as a teacher from Nissen School in 1916. After four years as a teacher at Frogner School, in 1920 she married veterinarian Bernt Engelhart (1889–1961), a son of politician Thomas von Westen Engelhart. The family moved around in Norway a lot, among others to Harstad and Eidsvoll. Mrs. Engelhart became active in the Norwegian Housewives' Association (from 1997: the Norwegian Women and Family Association), and after the occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany when her housewife association work had largely been abandoned, she took the helm of the whole organization ...

Nils Engelhart
Nils Engelhart (c.1668–1719) was a Norwegian Lutheran priest. Nils Engelhart was born in Meldal in Sør-Trøndelag. His father Daniel Engelhart (ca. 1638-1733) was the magistrate and later mining administer. Løkken Mine was located in the municipality. He studied for the ministry in Copenhagen while serving in the Danish-Norwegian Navy. In 1693, he was assigned a personnel chaplain at Tingvoll in Møre og Romsdal. Nils Engelhart had several priesthood assignments in Nordmøre and Romsdal in subsequently years. Engelhart was an active participant of the pietist association ''Syvstjernen'', along with his friend Thomas von Westen. The influence from ''Syvstjernen'' marked a beginning of the Pietism movement in Norway. Engelhart died in Veøy in 1719. Thomas von Westen Engelhart (6 October 1850 - 3 August 1905) was a Norwegian jurist and politician for the Liberal Party. Biography He was born at Vinger in Hedmark, Norway. He graduated in 1871 with a law degree. Engelhart was a public prosecutor by profession. He was a senior prosecutor at Kongsvinger from 1873. From 1876 he was the Supreme Court Attorney at Vinger, where he also was the mayor between 1881 and 1889. Englehart (Canada 2016 Census population 1,479) is a town in the Canadian province of Ontario, located on the Blanche River in the Timiskaming District. Kap-Kig-Iwan Provincial Park is located near the town of Englehart.
