Enemies (band)
Enemies are an Irish post-rock band from Wicklow, Ireland. History Enemies formed in the summer of 2007. They released their debut EP titled ''Alpha Waves'' in 2009 via Machu Picchu Industrias. In 2010, Enemies released their first studio album titled ''We've Been Talking'' via The Richter Collective and Slick Stack. In 2013, Enemies released their second studio album titled ''Embark, Embrace'' via Topshelf Records Topshelf Records is an American independent record label started in Peabody, Massachusetts and as of 2015 is now based in San Diego, California. Topshelf Records has been profiled in the ''Pittsburgh City Paper'', ''San Diego Reader'', ''San D ... and Heavyweight Records. Wicklow
Wicklow ( ; ga, Cill Mhantáin , meaning 'church of the toothless one'; non, Víkingaló) is the county town of County Wicklow in Ireland. It is located south of Dublin on the east coast of the island. According to the 2016 census, it has a population of 10,584. The town is to the east of the M11 route between Dublin and Wexford. It also has railway links to Dublin, Wexford, Arklow, and Rosslare Europort. There is also a commercial port for timber and textile imports. Post-rock is a form of experimental rock characterized by a focus on exploring textures and timbre over traditional rock song structures, chords, or riffs. Post-rock artists are often instrumental, typically combining rock instrumentation with electronics. The genre emerged within the indie and underground music scene of the 1980s and early 1990s. Math Rock
Math rock is a style of progressive and indie rock with roots in bands such as King Crimson and Rush as well as 20th-century minimal music composers such as Steve Reich. It is characterized by complex, atypical rhythmic structures (including irregular stopping and starting), counterpoint, odd time signatures, angular melodies, and extended, often dissonant, chords.
