Jacob is a common male given name and a less well-known surname. Lund (, , ) is a city in the southern Swedish provinces of Sweden, province of Scania, across the Øresund, Öresund strait from Copenhagen. The town had 91,940 inhabitants out of a municipal total of 121,510 . It is the seat of Lund Municipality, Scania County. Adja Yunkers
Adja Yunkers (1900–1983) was an American abstract painter and printmaker. He was born in Riga, Governorate of Livonia, Russian Empire in 1900. He studied art in Leningrad, Berlin, Paris, and London. He lived in Paris for 14 years, and then moved to Stockholm in 1939. In Stockholm, he published and edited the arts magazines ''ARS'' magazine and ''Creation'' magazine. In 1947 he moved to the United States, where he lived for the rest of his life. He held a teaching position at the New School for Social Research in New York while summers were spent teaching at the University of New Mexico. In 1949, he received a Guggenheim Fellowship. During the 1950s he primarily worked in color woodcuts, introducing brushwork into the genre. In 1960, he began producing lithographs. He produced two important series of lithographs at the Tamarind Lithography Workshop in Los Angeles―''Salt'' (five lithographs) and ''Skies of Venice'' (ten lithographs). Max Walter Svanberg
Max Walter Svanberg (February 21, 1912 – May 28, 1994) was a Swedish surrealist painter, illustrator, and designer. His most prevalent motifs were of women's bodies merged with elements of flora and fauna. Born in Malmö, Sweden, Svanberg founded the Swedish artist group Imaginisterna in 1948, but left them soon after. In 1950, he published an album of lithographs. In 1953, he was invited to join a surrealist group in Paris led by André Breton. Svanberg exhibited at the Galerie de l’Etoile Scellee in 1955. In 1958, he illustrated an edition of Arthur Rimbaud’s ''Illuminations''. Västertorp (''Westcroft'') is a district of the Hägersten-Liljeholmen borough in Söderort, the southern suburban part of Stockholm, Sweden. History The district was formed on February 1, 1948. Alafors
Alafors is a town and the seat of the municipality of Ale Municipality, Västra Götaland County, Sweden. Today it is considered part of Nödinge-Nol, a northeastern neighborhood. It is located off the E45, about 30 km north of Gothenburg and approximately 1 km from the east bank of the Göta River. In 1970 the town grew up with the railroad town Nol and 1990 with Nödinge, which today form an urban area, Nödinge-Nol. Alafors contains the Ale municipal building, whose facade has enamel artwork by Endre Nemes. There is a high school, park, Ahlafors IF football club which play at Furulundsparken, and a ski slope.
