The Encontro das Águas State Park ( pt, Parque Estadual Encontro das Águas) is a state park in the state of Mato Grosso, Brazil. It covers an area of the pantanal rich in watercourses. Jaguar
The jaguar (''Panthera onca'') is a large cat species and the only living member of the genus '' Panthera'' native to the Americas. With a body length of up to and a weight of up to , it is the largest cat species in the Americas and the third largest in the world. The São Lourenço River is a tributary of the Paraguay River within the Pantanal, an alluvial plain that spans portions of Brazil, Bolivia and Paraguay. The São Lourenço river basin lies in the Mato Grosso state of Brazil. Course The São Lourenço River rises in the south of Mato Grosso, and is sometimes called the Pingara River in its upper reaches. Cuiabá River
The Cuiabá River (Portuguese: ''Rio Cuiabá'') is a Brazilian river in the western state of Mato Grosso that flows in the Río de la Plata Basin. It is a tributary of the São Lourenço River. Course In its upper reaches the Cuiabá River flows through the Águas do Cuiabá Ecological Station, which was created as a state park in June 2002 as part of an effort to clean up the water of the river, which was polluted with garbage and raw sewage.
