Emtee
Mthembeni Ndevu, better known by his stage name Emtee (stylized as eMTee) is a South African rapper. He was born in Matatiele and grew up in Rockville, Soweto, where he was involved in talent shows. His career began at the age of 17 and his debut hit single, " Roll Up" was released in 2015 to critical acclaim. Emtee was signed to Ambitiouz Entertainment, and released his debut album '' Avery'' (2015), which was commercially successful and was eventually certified platinum by Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA). The album was preceded by two singles: ''"Roll Up"'' and ''"Pearl Thusi"''. His second studio album ''Manando'' (2017), the title referring to his late brother. His third album ''DIY 2'' was released in 2018. ''Manando'' is the second studio album by South African rapper and singer Emtee, released by Ambitiouz Entertainment on September 15, 2017 and features guest appearances from fellow Ambitiouz label-mates Sjava and Saudi, as well as Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage. ''Avery'' is the debut studio album by South African rapper and singer Emtee, released on 4 December 2015, through Ambitiouz Entertainment. Artwork Album art was designed by Mpho Ngakane. Commercial performance As of 22 January 2016, the album peaked at the top of the South African Hip hop / Rap iTunes Chart. The 22nd Annual South African Music Awards was held on 4 June 2016 at Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre, Durban, South Africa and was hosted by Somizi Mhlongo and Thando Thabethe. Lehlogonolo Ronald Mataboge (born March 27, 1997), known professionally as A-Reece, is a South African rapper, songwriter and record producer. He was raised in Pretoria, Gauteng. A-Reece was under Ambitiouz Entertainment in 2015, but with no paper work signed yet . He gained popularity in 2015 following the release of his single, "Couldn't", which featured the rapper Emtee. South African Hip Hop Awards 2015
The 2015 South African Hip Hop Awards were held at The Lyric Theatre, Gold Reef City Casino in Johannesburg, Gauteng Province. This marked the ceremony's 4th anniversary. The nominees were announced on 30 October 2015. Riky Rick lead with 8 nominations, followed by AKA with 7 nominations. AKA won the "Most Valuable" award for the 4th time in a row, making him the only artist to ever win this award, and therefore currently holds the winning streak. AKA won the most awards: Best Collaboration, Most Valuable, Video of the Year and Best Digital Sales. Jabulani Hadebe (born 2 December 1983), known professionally as Sjava, is a South African singer, rapper, and actor. He began his acting career in 2005, starring in several drama series and films including '' uGugu no Andile'' (2009). Matatiele
Matatiele is a town located in the northern part of the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. According to the South African National Census of 2011, its 12,466 residents (1,113.44 per km²) and 4,107 households (366.83 per km²) make Matatiele the largest populated town in the Matatiele Local Municipality. Once dominated by wetlands and marshes, Matatiele derives its name from a portmanteau word of the Sotho language words “matata”, meaning wild ducks, and “ile”, meaning gone and the Phuthi language words "mati" meaning water and "ayile" meaning dried out.
