Emmanuel Mayonnade (born 12 June 1983) is a French handball coach who currently serves as head coach of Metz Handball and previously the Dutch women's national team. He coached the Netherlands at the 2019 World Women's Handball Championship. International Handball Federation
The International Handball Federation (IHF) is the administrative and controlling body for handball and beach handball. 2018–19 Women's EHF Champions League
The 2018–19 Women's EHF Champions League was the 26th edition of the Women's EHF Champions League, the competition for top women's clubs of Europe, organized and supervised by the European Handball Federation. Győri ETO defended their title by defeating Rostov-Don 25–24 in the final, to win their fifth overall and third straight title. Competition format 16 teams participated in the competition, divided in four groups who played in a round robin, home and away format. The Women's EHF Champions League is the competition for the top women's handball clubs in Europe, organised annually by the European Handball Federation (EHF). It is the most prestigious tournament for clubs, with the champions of Europe's top national leagues participating. World Women's Handball Championship
The IHF Women's Handball World Championship has been organized by the International Handball Federation since 1957. European teams have won every time except 1995 where South Korea won as the first team outside Europe and 2013 where Brazil won as the first American team. The biggest winners are Russia and Norway with four titles each. Nine teams participated in the first championship, this number has grown in steps to 32 (from 2021). In 1977 a B-tournament was introduced and later in 1986 a C-tournament which served as qualification for the real championship or A-tournament. Metz Handball
Metz Handball is a French handball club from Metz, France. Founded in 1965 under the name ASPTT Metz, the club has an exceptional track record with some 40 titles won, which is the all-time record for a French women's team sport. Chaired by Thierry Weizman since 2005, the club is becoming increasingly professional and now aims to play a leading role in Europe.
