Emily Gaskins
Emily Paige Gaskins (born May 23, 2000) is an American artistic gymnast. An elite gymnast since 2013, Gaskins was a member of the U.S. Junior National team for three years until 2016. She also made the Senior National Team in 2016. Biography and career Gaskins was born on May 23, 2000 in Coral Springs, Florida, to parents Ronald and Kim Gaskins (née Birskovich). She has two elder sisters. She graduated from high school in 2018, and subsequently began attending the University of Alabama. 2013–2015: Junior career 2013 In fall 2012, Gaskins moved to Ohio in order to train at the Cincinnati Gymnastics Academy, under the tutelage of Mary Lee Tracy. Throughout the 2013 season, Gaskins competed as a Level 10, qualifying to the Nastia Liukin Cup – she tied for 19th place with Emily Schild. Nastia Liukin Cup
The Nastia Liukin Cup (formerly the Nastia Liukin Supergirl Cup from 2010–11) is an annual artistic gymnastics competition held in the United States and hosted by Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin. History In August 2009, USA Gymnastics announced that they had partnered with 2008 Olympic champion Nastia Liukin to create a competitive opportunity for the country's top Junior Olympic gymnasts that is intended to serve as a debut for pre-elite competitors on the national stage. The inaugural Nastia Liukin Cup was held in 2010 and had 36 participants. Eligible to compete are Level 10 female gymnasts in both the junior and senior fields. The Florida Gators women's gymnastics team represents the University of Florida in the sport of gymnastics. The team competes in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) and the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The USA Gymnastics National Team Training Center at Karolyi Ranch or simply Karolyi Ranch in unincorporated Walker County, Texas, southeast of Huntsville, was a gymnastics camp facility which was the site of the main training center for the United States women's national gymnastics team, located north of Houston within the Sam Houston National Forest. From 2001 to 2018, it was the USA Gymnastics' national training facility for women's artistic, trampoline, and rhythmic gymnastics disciplines.
