The Embassy of the Republic of Georgia in Moscow was the diplomatic mission of Georgia in the Russian Federation. It was located at 6 Maly Rzhevsky Lane (russian: Малый Ржевский переулок, 6) in the Arbat district of Moscow. On 29 August 2008, Georgia broke diplomatic relations with Russia and withdrew all its diplomats from Russia and closed the Georgian Embassy in Moscow. They also ordered Russia to withdraw all its diplomats from Georgia and close the Russian Embassy in Tbilisi. Alexander Stepanovich Kaminsky (1829–1897, russian: Александр Степанович Каминский, sometimes spelled Kamensky, Каменский) was a Russian architect working in Moscow and suburbs. One of the most successful and prolific architects of the 1860s–1880s, Kaminsky was a faithful eclecticist, equally skilled in Russian Revival, Neo-Gothic and Renaissance Revival architecture. He is best remembered for the extant Tretyakovsky Proyezd shopping arcade and the cathedral of Nikolo-Ugresh monastery in present-day town of Dzerzhinsky. Lev Nikolayevich Kekushev (russian: Лев Николаевич Кекушев) was a Russian architect, notable for his Art Nouveau buildings in Moscow, built in the 1890s and early 1900s in the original, Franco-Belgian variety of this style. Kekushev's buildings are notable for his skillful use of metal ornaments and his signature with a lion (''Lev'') ornament or sculpture.
