Elín Stefánsdóttir Hirst (born 4 September 1960) is an Icelandic politician, and a former member of the Althing from 2013 to 2016. Elín is a former journalist, television personality, published author, documentary filmmaker and anchor. She was Head of News of Icelandic public television channel Sjónvarpið from 2002 to 2008. Elín graduated from the University of Oslo with a diploma in economics in 1981, a Bachelor in journalism from University of Florida in 1984, and went for a major in history in the university of Iceland in 2005. Elin Matilda Elisabet Wägner (16 May 1882 – 7 January 1949) was a Swedish writer, journalist, feminist, teacher, ecologist and pacifist. She was a member of the Swedish Academy from 1944. Biography Elin Wägner was born in Lund, Sweden as the daughter of a school principal, Wägner was only three years old when her mother died. Wägner's books and articles focus on the subjects of women's emancipation, civil rights, votes for women, the peace movement, welfare, and environmental pollution. Elin Kalinov Topuzakov ( bg, Елин Калинов Топузаков; born 5 February 1977 in Dimitrovgrad) is a Bulgarian former football defender and now manager. Helena or Elin, possibly also known as ''Maer'', ''Mär'' or ''Mö'' (Old Norse for ''Maiden'') (born in the 11th century – Floruit c. 1105/10), was Queen of Sweden as the wife of King Inge the Elder, and a supposed sister of King Blot-Sweyn of Sweden. Name and background The background of Queen Helena is not confirmed, but her activities as queen show that she had an affiliation to Östergötland. The Icelandic Hervarar saga ok Heiðreks (late 13th century) has the following to say about Inge I's spouse: "King Inge married a woman called Maer r Mö the name of her brother was Sweyn.
