Elna Baker (born January 1982) is an American writer and comedian. She has worked for the radio program ''This American Life'' since 2010, and is currently a producer. She has made appearances on ''The Moth'', BBC Radio 4 and ''Studio 360''. In October 2009, Penguin Books published her book ''The New York Regional Mormon Singles Halloween Dance'', which chronicles her experience as a young, single Latter Day Saint living in New York City. Elna Inger Cathrine Borch (6 December 1869 – 3 October 1950) was a Danish sculptor. Although her known work is considered high quality by art dealers, Borch is today largely forgotten and little known to the general public. Biography Borch was born in Roskilde, Denmark. She was the daughter of merchant Anders Jacob Borch (1834–1904) and Martha Petrine Willumsen (1845–1922). She came from a family full of artists, including her uncle Jacob Kornerup (1825–1913), who taught her how to draw. She later learned sculpture in Copenhagen from sculptor August Saabye, who became her instructor when she was at the Academy of Fine Arts for Women (''Kunstakademiets Kunstskole for Kvinde''). Elna Jane Hilliard Grahn
Elna Jane Hilliard Grahn (November 15, 1913 – August 3, 2006) served in the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps (WAAC) and later the Women's Army Corps (WAC) during World War II. Grahn commanded the 2525th WAC unit in Fort Myer, Virginia. Grahn was the first woman to serve on a United States Army General Court Martial. Early life Elna Jane Hilliard was born on November 15, 1913, in Baraboo, Wisconsin to Charles Hilliard and Anna (Eagan) Hilliard. She went to school in Baraboo and Madison, Wisconsin, and in Winona, Minnesota. Elna Julia Sofia Kiljander (4 November 1889 – 21 March 1970) was one of Finland's earliest female architects. She is remembered not only for her model homes and kitchens but also for her furniture designs. One of her most important designs was the Functionalism (architecture), Functionalist Ensi-Koti home in Helsinki. Elna Lassen (1901 – 1930) was a Danish ballerina who was the premiere danseuse of the Royal Danish Ballet. A diabetic, Lassen was found dead at her Copenhagen, Denmark apartment on the morning of September 20, 1930. She is thought to have committed suicide with a revolver which was found by her bedside. Elna Møller Moltke (12 December 1913 – 22 May 1994) was a Danish architect and author. Biography Moltke was born at Tange Skovgård in Højbjerg parish, Denmark. She was the daughter of Niels Rasmussen Møller (1880-1950) and Johanne Due Thomsen (1880-1959). She attended from Viborg Katedralskole, taking her mathematical graduate degree in 1933.
