Elvis Manu
Elvis Kofi Okyere Wiafe Manu (born 13 August 1993) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a winger for Romanian Liga I club Universitatea Cluj. Manu has represented the Netherlands from the U16 through to the U21 age group. However, on 24 June 2015, he switched his national allegiance to Ghana, whom he qualifies for through his Ghanaian heritage. Club career Feyenoord After progressing through Feyenoord's youth academy, Manu signed a professional contract with the club in 2012. Manu made his professional debut for Feyenoord on 26 February 2012, in a 2–3 away defeat to PSV, coming on for Jerson Cabral in the 90th minute. He scored his first professional goal for the club in a 2–3 away victory to Heerenveen, in Feyenoord's final game of the 2011–12 season. 2012–13 Feyenoord Season
The 2012–13 season was Feyenoord's 105th season of play. It was their 57th season in the Eredivisie and its 91st consecutive season in the highest Dutch football division. The club ended its league campaign in third place, being undefeated at home, and reached the quarter-finals of the KNVB Cup. Their European campaign ended after four matches, two each in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League. It was the club's second season under manager Ronald Koeman. Eerste Divisie
The Eerste Divisie (, en, First Division) is the second-highest tier of football in the Netherlands. It is linked with the top-level Eredivisie and with the third-level Tweede Divisie via promotion/relegation systems. It is also known as the Keuken Kampioen Divisie due to sponsorship, while previously it was known as Jupiler League for the same reason. History The Eerste Divisie consists of 20 clubs, who play each other in a double round-robin league, with each club playing the other club home and away. Each club plays every other club once in the first half of the season before the league takes a winter break around the Christmas and New Year's holiday season. The second half of the season sees the same fixtures as the first half, with the stadiums changed, although the two halves are not played in the same order. The 2011–12 season was Feyenoord's 104th season of play, it was their 56th season in the Eredivisie and its 90th consecutive season in the highest Dutch football division. They ended their league campaign in second place, after winning ten of the last eleven games of the season. They reached the third round of the KNVB Cup. It was the first season with Ronald Koeman, who signed as manager of Feyenoord after former manager Mario Been resigned on 13 July 2011 due to a lack of trust from the squad. Sportclub Heerenveen (; West Frisian: Sportklub It Hearrenfean) is a Dutch football club from Heerenveen. They currently play in the Eredivisie, the top level of football in the Netherlands. History Sportclub Heerenveen was founded on 20 July 1920 in the town of Heerenveen, Friesland, as Athleta. It changed name twice, first to Spartaan and then to v.v. Heerenveen in 1922. Jerson Cabral
Jerson Cabral (born 3 January 1991) is a Dutch-Cape Verdean professional footballer who plays as a winger for Super League Greece club Ionikos. Career Feyenoord Cabral was scouted by Feyenoord at the age of seven. He made his professional debut for Feyenoord on 8 August 2010. He replaced Diego Biseswar in the 51st minute of the Eredivisie home match against FC Utrecht (3–1). On 27 August 2010, Cabral made his European debut. He replaced Tim de Cler in the 82nd minute of the Europa League away match against Gent (2–0). At the start of the 2012–13 season Cabral refused to extend his contract, which would expire at the end of the season. Twente Cabral was then traded to FC Twente, in exchange of Wesley Verhoek. The Liga I (; ''First League''), also spelled as Liga 1, is a Romanian professional league for men's association football clubs. Currently sponsored by betting company Superbet, it is officially known as the SuperLiga. It is the country's top football competition, being contested by 16 clubs which take part in a promotion and relegation system with the Liga II. The teams play 30 matches each in the regular season, before entering the championship play-offs or the relegation play-outs according to their position in the regular table.
