Else (Lenne)
Else is a 12.9 km river in Märkischer Kreis, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is a left tributary of the Lenne. The Else rises about 800m north of Herscheid to an altitude of 414m above sea level. As it flows to the east, the stream reaches the area of the Plettenberg-Hüinghausen airfield and passes the village of Hüinghausen on its southern edge. It then proceeds through Plettenberg, before joining up with the Lenne. There is a height difference of 214m between the source and the mouth, which corresponds to a mean gradient of 16.6%. Lenne
The Lenne is a tributary of the river Ruhr in the Sauerland hills, western Germany. It has caused flooding in recent years. Having its source on top of the ''Kahler Asten'' near Winterberg in an intermittent spring at an elevation of , the Lenne ends after a course of 129 km flowing into the Ruhr river near the city of Hagen. Märkischer Kreis
The Märkischer Kreis is a district ('' Kreis'') in central North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Neighbouring districts are Unna, Soest, Hochsauerland, Olpe, Oberbergischer Kreis, Ennepe-Ruhr, and the city of Hagen. History The district was created in 1975 as part of the reorganization of North Rhine-Westphalian districts. The former districts of Lüdenscheid and Iserlohn, together with the City of Iserlohn, previously an urban district, plus the area around Balve (previously part of Arnsberg District) were amalgamated to form the new district. Herscheid is a municipality in the southern Märkischer Kreis, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Geography Herscheid is located in the ''Ebbegebirge'' (''"Ebbe Mountains"''), a part of the Sauerland mountains. Plettenberg (; Westphalian: ''Plettmert'') is a town in the Märkischer Kreis, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Geography Plettenberg is located to the west of the Sauerland hills. The highest elevation of the town area is in the ''Ebbegebirge'' with 663 m above sea level, the lowest elevation with 194 m near Teindeln.
