Els Goulmy (born 27 November 1946, The Hague) is an eminent professor of transplantation biology, especially regarding minor histocompatibility antigen, at Leiden University. Goulmy is an expert in the area of tissue typing and belongs internationally to the absolute top of her discipline. She was awarded the Spinoza Prize in 2002. Research Goulmy did groundbreaking research on the role of antigens in organ and stem cell transplantation. She is the pioneer of the so-called Minor Transplantation Antigens in men. Minor antigens can induce strong immune reactions. She discovered the H-Y minor antigen encoded by the Y-chromosome (1976) and the autosomally encoded HA-1 antigen (1983). Elisabeth Cornelia "Els" Vader (married Scharn) (24 September 1959 – 8 February 2021) was a track and field sprinter from the Netherlands. She competed at the 1980, 1984 and 1988 Summer Olympics in the 100 m, 200 m and 4 × 100 m relay (in 1988 only), but failed to reach the finals in any event. Vader was Holland's leading sprinter in the 1980s, alongside Nelli Cooman. Altogether she gathered 23 national championships in the various outdoor and indoor sprint events. Els Pelgrom (born 2 April 1934, Arnhem), pseudonym of Else Koch, is a Dutch writer of children's literature. Biography Career For some time she worked on the children's section of the ''Winschoter Courant''. She also worked for a short period of time as teacher. Children's literature Pelgrom made her debut as writer in 1962 with the book ''Het geheimzinnige bos''. Her book ''De kinderen van het achtste woud'' (1977) is considered by many to be her true debut. For this book she received the Gouden Griffel award in 1978. The book was translated into English as ''The Winter When Time Was Frozen'' by Maryka and Raphael Rudnik who won the Mildred L. Batchelder Award in 1981 for this translation. She is best known for ''Fa yu e tron leisibakru'', a literary education method for secondary education.
