Elmar Brandt
Elmar Brandt (born 20 September 1971) is a German impressionist, best known for his imitations of politicians. He was born in Düsseldorf. His most famous series is ''The Gerd Show'', in which actual events are lampooned using an imitation of former German chancellor Gerhard Schröder. ''The Gerd Show'' was broadcast between 1999 and 2005 as a short daily comedy on various radio programmes. Impressionist (entertainment)
An impressionist or a mimic is a performer whose act consists of imitating sounds, voices and mannerisms of celebrities and cartoon characters. The word usually refers to a professional comedian/entertainer who specializes in such performances and has developed a wide repertoire of impressions, including adding to them, often to keep pace with current events. Impressionist performances are a classic casino entertainment genre. Someone who imitates one particular person without claiming a wide range, such as a lookalike, is instead called an impersonator. Dieter Bohlen (; born Dieter Günter Bohlen, 7 February 1954) is a German songwriter, producer, singer and television personality. Hurra Deutschland
Hurra Deutschland (English: "Hurrah Germany") was a German satirical series running from June 19, 1989 to September 26, 1992, appearing regularly on TV station Das Erste. Overview ''Hurra Deutschland'' was easily distinguished because of its use of rubber puppets modelled on politicians and celebrities, who were poked fun at in various sketches. The puppets were built out of latex by GUM Studios, who continue to make puppets even today (many of which were used in the new series). Johannes Rau (; 16 January 193127 January 2006) was a German politician (SPD). He was the president of Germany from 1 July 1999 until 30 June 2004 and the minister president of North Rhine-Westphalia from 20 September 1978 to 9 June 1998.
