Elliot Lake Transit is a public transportation system, which provides daily service with the exception of statutory holidays, within the small isolated city of Elliot Lake in Northern Ontario, Canada Regular scheduled service operates on four routes using two low-floor handicapped accessible buses, providing once per hour trips on each route with a transfer point between routes at the Pearson Plaza. Hours of operation are from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm with extended service on Thursday and Friday evenings till 9:00 pm, and limited service on Sunday and no holiday service. Cash fare is $2.50 for adults and $2.00 for seniors and students, with 12 tickets costing $24.00 for everyone. Monthly passes are $60.00 for adults and $50.00 for seniors and students For residents who are unable to board the regular transit buses, the city provides door to door service with the ''Handilift'' bus. Elliot Lake is a city in Algoma District, Ontario, Canada. It is north of Lake Huron, midway between the cities of Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie in the Northern Ontario region. Pearson Plaza is a small indoor shopping complex in Elliot Lake, Ontario. Located on the site of a former rock (later Huron Lodge), at Hillside Drive South and Ontario Avenue, it replaced the Algo Centre Mall, which was demolished after it’s roof collapsed. McCowan & Associates is the mall landlord. History The mall's Foodland (Canada), Foodland grocery store was to be open by January 1, 2014, or a few days before, and the remainder open in fall 2015. Foodland was the mall's first store, but it opened on April 1, 2016.
