Ellery Cairo
Ellery Cairo (born 3 August 1978) is a Dutch former professional footballer who played as a winger. Club career Cairo played his first seasons of senior football for Feyenoord, Excelsior, Twente, SC Freiburg and Hertha BSC, before moving to English club Coventry City on 30 June 2007 on a free transfer from Hertha BSC. After only one season manager Chris Coleman announced that Cairo's contract was not to be renewed and he was subsequently released. Several clubs were interested in signing Cairo, but it was NAC Breda who ended up with his services after friendly match against amateur club DOSKO. After he passed the medical, he signed a two-year contract, making NAC the seventh club in his career. After two seasons at the club, in which he made almost fifty appearances, often as a substitute, his expiring contract was no longer extended. The Johan Cruyff Shield (, ) is a football trophy in the Netherlands named after Dutch footballer Johan Cruyff, also often referred to as the Dutch Super Cup. The winner is decided in one match only, played by the winner of the national football league, Eredivisie, and the winner of the national KNVB Cup. The KNVB Beker (; en, KNVB Cup), branded as the TOTO KNVB Beker for sponsorship reasons, is a competition in the Netherlands organized by the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) since 1898. It was based on the format of the English FA Cup. Outside the Netherlands, it is often referred to as the Dutch Cup. The Eredivisie (; ''"Honour Division"'' or ''"Premier Division"'') is the highest level of professional football in the Netherlands. The league was founded in 1956, two years after the start of professional football in the Netherlands. It is considered one of the best European leagues. Kevin-Prince Boateng (; born 6 March 1987), also known as Prince, is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder or forward for club Hertha BSC. Born in Germany, he represented the Ghana national team. Coming through the youth system, Boateng began his career at Hertha BSC, before joining Tottenham Hotspur in England.
