Ella Karachkova
Ella Aleksandrovna Diehl (russian: Элла Александровна Диль; born 5 August 1978; née Karachkova; russian: Карачкова) is a badminton player from Russia. Career Diehl was selected to join the national team in 1995. She had won girls' doubles silver medal at the 1995 European Junior Championships, and also one silver and two bronze in 1997 in team, girls' singles and doubles respectively. In her home country Russia, Diehl has won 14 national titles as of 2009. In 2000 and 2008, she competed at the Summer Olympics. Diehl played at the 2005 World Championships in Anaheim, United States. In the women's singles event she reached the second round before losing to Salakjit Ponsana of Thailand. Tine Rasmussen
Tine Baun (née Rasmussen; born 21 July 1979) is a Danish former badminton player. Most notably, she won the All England Open Badminton Championships women's singles title three times in 2008, 2010, and 2013 – the last of these being her final tournament before retirement. Career summary Baun started playing badminton since she was 7 years old. She played at Lynge, a small club in North Zealand, Denmark. She said she really liked traveling around the world and learning other cultures through sports. The 2010 Swiss Open Super Series is a top level badminton competition which will be held from March 16, 2010 to March 21, 2010 in Basel, Switzerland. Lu Lan (born 2 May 1987) is a badminton player from China. Career In 2004, she won the Polish Open. In 2006, she won the Korea Open and finished the year in the 5th position in the BWF World Ranking. In 2007, she won the Denmark Super Series, and was a bronze medalist at the World Championships in Kuala Lumpur, losing to the eventual champion Zhu Lin in the semifinals. Susan Egelstaff (born 12 October 1982; née Hughes) is a Scottish badminton player. Egelstaff won team bronze at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester, took women's singles bronze four years later in Melbourne, and finished fourth in the singles in Delhi. Irish International (badminton)
The Irish International or Irish Open in badminton is an international open held in Ireland since 1902 and is thereby one of the oldest badminton tournaments in the world. It was however interrupted by the two World Wars. This tournament is currently a part of the European Badminton Circuit and takes place at the end of November every year as part of the home nations loop of international tournaments that include the Scottish Open and the Welsh Open in consecutive weeks. The tournament for most part and in recent years has been an International Challenge rated event. The recent exception was in 2012, 2017 & 2018 when the tournament was downgraded to International Series due to funding. Salakjit Ponsana
Salakjit Ponsana ( th, สลักจิต พลสนะ; , born 14 February 1984) is a Thai retired badminton player. She competed in the women's singles event at the 2004 Athens and 2008 Beijing Olympics. Her brother, Boonsak Ponsana is also a Thai olympian. Career Ponsana played badminton at the 2004 Summer Olympics, defeating Miho Tanaka of Japan in the first round but losing to Gong Ruina of China in the round of 16. In 2008, she was defeated in the second round by Zhang Ning of China with the score 23–21, 17–21, 7–21. Ponsana also competed at the Asian Games in 2002, 2006, and 2010, and won the 2010 women's team silver medal.
