Eliška Březinová
Eliška Březinová (born 19 February 1996) is a Czech figure skater. She is the 2019 EduSport Trophy champion, the 2014 New Year's Cup champion, the 2015 Santa Claus Cup champion, a two-time Four Nationals champion (2014, 2018), and a nine-time Czech national champion (2012, 2014–2016, 2018–2022). She has competed in the final segment at eight ISU Championships, including three World Championships. Personal life Eliška Březinová was born on 19 February 1996 in Brno, Czech Republic. She is the daughter of Edita and Rudolf Březina, a figure skating coach, and the younger sister of Michal Březina, a former competitor in men's singles. Career Březinová began skating in 2002. She debuted on the ISU Junior Grand Prix series in 2010. The 2018 European Figure Skating Championships were held in January 2018 in Moscow, Russia. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pairs, and ice dance. Karel Fajfr
Karel Jiri Jan Josef Fajfr (born 7 September 1943) is a German figure skating coach based in Oberstdorf and a former pair skater for Czechoslovakia. Life and career Competing in partnership with Věra Stehlíková, Fajfr won two silver medals at the Czechoslovak national championships (1964 and 1965). They won the bronze medal at the 1965 Prague Skate. After their partnership ended, he skated with Marika Nagyová for two seasons. They won two bronze medals at the Czechoslovak Championships. Fajfr moved to Germany after the Prague Spring in 1968. From 1980 he coached in Stuttgart and led his daughter Scarlett to the 1981 German Junior national title. That same year, he coached the pair team of Tina Riegel / Andreas Nischwitz to the World bronze and European silver medals. He also coached Heiko Fischer, a five-time German national champion. Short Program (figure Skating)
The short program of figure skating is the first of two segments of competitions, skated before the free skating program. It lasts, for both senior and junior singles and pair skaters, 2 minutes and 40 seconds. In synchronized skating, for both juniors and seniors, the short program lasts 2 minutes and 50 seconds. Vocal music with lyrics is allowed for all disciplines since the 2014-2015 season. The short program for single skaters and for pair skaters consists of seven required elements, and there are six required elements for synchronized skaters. The women's singles competition in figure skating at the 2022 Winter Olympics was held on 15 February (short program) and 17 February (free skating), at the Capital Indoor Stadium in Haidian District of Beijing. 2021 World Figure Skating Championships
The 2021 World Figure Skating Championships were held in Stockholm, Sweden from March 22–28, 2021. Figure skaters competed for the title of world champion in men's singles, ladies' singles, pairs, and ice dance. The competition was used to determine the entry quotas for each federation at the 2022 World Championships and was the first qualification event for the 2022 Winter Olympics. Stockholm was announced as the host in June 2018. It was the first time that Stockholm had hosted the World Championships since 1947 and the first time that Sweden had hosted since 2008. The 2014 Trophée Éric Bompard was the fifth event of six in the 2014–15 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, a senior-level international invitational competition series.
