Eliseu Climent
Eliseu Pereira dos Santos (born 1 October 1983), known simply as Eliseu (), is a Portuguese former professional footballer who played either as a left back or left winger. After starting out at Belenenses, he went on to spend most of his career with Málaga after signing in 2007, appearing in 224 official games and scoring 27 goals in two separate spells. In 2014 he signed with Benfica, with whom he won three consecutive Primeira Liga titles among other major trophies during four seasons. A full international since 2009, Eliseu was part of the Portuguese squad that won Euro 2016. Early years Eliseu was born in Angra do HeroÃsmo, Azores, to a Cape Verdean mother, Inês Furtado (a restaurant owner), and a Portuguese father, José (an ambulance driver). 2008–09 La Liga
The 2008–09 La Liga season (known as the ''Liga BBVA'' for sponsorship reasons) was the 78th since its establishment. Paulo Jorge Vieira Alves (born 5 May 1981), known as Paulo Jorge, is a Portuguese former footballer who played mainly as a right midfielder. Hélder Miguel do Rosário (born 9 March 1980; ) is a Portuguese former professional footballer who played as a central defender. Club career Born in Lisbon of Cape Verdean descent, Rosário started playing professionally with Sporting CP's farm team, S.C. Lourinhanense, then had a stint with the former's reserves. From 2001 to 2003, he had spells in the Segunda Liga with F.C. Maia and S.C. Farense. Rosário made his Primeira Liga debut in the 2003–04 season with C.F. The 2007–08 season was the 77th in the history of the Segunda División (known as the Liga BBVA for sponsorship reasons), the second tier of the Spanish football league system. The first matches of the season were played on 25 August 2007, and the season ended on 15 June 2008. Celta de Vigo, Real Sociedad, and Gimnà stic de Tarragona were the teams which were relegated from La Liga the previous season. Racing de Ferrol, Eibar, Sevilla Atlético, and Córdoba were the teams which were promoted from Segunda División B the previous season. Substitute (association Football)
In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Substitutions were officially added to the Laws of the Game in 1958. Prior to this most games were played with no changes permitted at all, with occasional exceptions in cases of extreme injury or players not arriving to matches on time.
