Elise Heyerdahl
Elisabeth Susanne Heyerdahl (1858–1921) was a Norwegian Conservative politician, teacher and a strong supporter of women's involvement in politics. She was one of the first women to be elected to Christiania's City Council. In 1910, she co-founded the Conservative Party's Women's Club (''Høirekvinders klub''), heading the organization for a number of years. Norwegian Conservative Party's Women's Association
The Norwegian Conservative Party's Women's Association ( no, italic=no, Høyrekvinners Landsforbund) was founded in 1925 to represent the interests of women members of the Conservative Party. In June 1994 it was dissolved, to be replaced by Høyres Kvinneforum (Conservative Party's Women's Network). The Women's Association built on the experience of the earlier Høirekvinneklubben (Conservative Women's Club) which had been created in 1910 by Elise Heyerdahl. With the establishment of the association in 1925, it was hoped that by rejuvenating their work, women would be able to play a more effective political role. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality.
