Elio Villate
Elio Fidel Villate Lam (born 1 November 1957 in Pinar del Río, Cuba) is a Cuban painter. Lam is a member of both the ACAA ( Cuban Association of Craftsmen Artists) and the UNEAC (National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba). Lam studied in 1969 at the Vocational Center of Arts of Pinar del Río. In 1972, he integrated the School of Fine Arts in the same city. Pinar del Río is the capital city of Pinar del Río Province, Cuba. With a population of 139,336 (2004) in a municipality of 190,332, it is the List of cities in Cuba, 10th-largest city in Cuba. Caribbean Festival of Arts, commonly known as CARIFESTA, is an annual festival for promoting arts of the Caribbean with a different country hosting the event each year.
