Pope Hilarius
Pope Hilarius (or Hilary) was the bishop of Rome from 19 November 461 to his death on 29 February 468. In 449, Hilarius served as a legate for Pope Leo I at the Second Council of Ephesus. His opposition to the condemnation of Flavian of Constantinople incurred the enmity of Pope Dioscorus I of Alexandria, Dioscurus of Alexandria, who attempted to prevent him from leaving the city. Hilarius was able to make his escape and returned to Rome by an indirect route. He later erected an oratory at the Lateran in honor of John the Evangelist, to whom he attributed his safe passage. Much of his pontificate was spent in maintaining ecclesiastical discipline in conformity with canon law, and in settling jurisdictional disputes among the bishops of both Gaul and Spain. Brychan
Brychan Brycheiniog was a legendary 5th-century king of Brycheiniog (Brecknockshire, alternatively Breconshire) in Mid Wales. Life According to Celtic hagiography Brychan was born in Ireland, the son of a Prince Anlach, son of Coronac, and his wife, Marchel, heiress of the Welsh kingdom of Garthmadrun (Brycheiniog), which the couple later inherited. Upon his father's death, he returned to Garthmadrun and changed its name to Brycheiniog. Brychan's name may be a Welsh version of the Irish name Broccán and that of his grandfather Coronac may represent Cormac. Brychan's education was entrusted to one Drichan. The ''Life of St. Cadoc'' by Lifris (''c''. 1100) portrays Brychan fighting Arthur, Cai and Bedivere because of King Gwynllyw of Gwynllwg's abduction of his daughter St. Gwladys from his court in Talgarth. Eleri H Cousins (b. 1987) is an archaeologist and Lecturer in Roman History at the University of Lancaster. Eleri Earnshaw
Eleri Earnshaw (born 17 May 1985) is a football player and coach who has played for the Welsh national team, the New York Magic, and Arsenal Ladies. Earnshaw is currently the assistant coach of Angel City FC in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). She was previously the acting head coach and assistant coach of Fordham University Women's Soccer. Prior to that she was Head Coach for LIU Sharks Division 1 Women's Soccer Team and acted an Assistant Coach for CCSU and Yale University. She also served as Head Coach of NJ/NY Gotham FC Reserves in 2021, leading them to a WPSL conference championship and earning Coach of the Year. Eleri Morgan is a Welsh actress and comedian. She was brought up in the Aberystwyth area and now lives in Cardiff, having previously lived in London. Eleri Mair Rees (''née'' Morgan; born 7 July 1953) is a Welsh judge. Since 18 June 2012, she has been the Resident Judge of Cardiff Crown Court and Recorder of Cardiff. She has been a circuit judge since 2002. She was called to the bar in 1975, and served as a Justices' clerk from 1983 to 1994 and as a stipendiary magistrate (later renamed District Judge (Magistrates' Courts)) between 1994 and 2002. Eleri Siôn (; born Eleri Jones on 18 January 1971) is a Welsh radio and television presenter. Early life Born and raised on a farm in Neuaddlwyd, Aberaeron, she was educated at Ysgol Gyfun Aberaeron. Her brother is the actor and author Meilyr Siôn. Their father was a farmer and their mother died at the age of 46 when Eleri was 18 years old. Career After training and working as a singer and part-time presenter of children's television programmes, she started reading Welsh at Cardiff University. She then took a two-year break in order to present children's sports programme ''Cracabant'' before finishing her degree at Cardiff University.
