Electoral District Of Musgrave
Musgrave was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Queensland from 1886 to 1923. The district was initially created when the Electoral district of Townsville was split by the Additional Members Act of 1885. In 1888, Musgrave was replaced by Herbert, the name Musgrave was then assigned to a seat in the Bundaberg district. Thomas Gummersal Armfield (1851 - 21 April 1931) was a member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly. The National Party of Australia – Queensland (NPA-Q), commonly known as Queensland Nationals, or the National Party of Queensland, was the Queensland-state branch of the National Party of Australia (NPA) until 2008. Prior to 1974, it was known as the Country Party. Henry Cattermull
Henry Albert Cattermull (March 1871 – 30 August 1935) was a member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly. Early life Cattermull was born at Suffolk, England, the son of Henry Cattermull and his wife Catherine (née Wills). He was a sugar grower and later on, a partner in the Sunnyside Mill at Bundaberg. On the 13 December 1890 he married Agatha Turner (died 1956) an together they had one son and six daughters. The Australian Labor Party (Queensland Branch), commonly known as Queensland Labor or as just Labor inside Queensland, is the state branch of the Australian Labor Party in the state of Queensland. It has functioned in the state since the 1880s. History Trade unionists in Queensland had begun attempting to secure parliamentary representation as early as the mid-1880s. William McNaughton Galloway, the president of the Seamen's Union, mounted an unsuccessful campaign as an independent in an 1886 by-election. A Workers' Political Reform Association was founded to nominate candidates for the 1888 election, at which the Brisbane Trades and Labor Council endorsed six candidates. Thomas Glassey won the seat of Bundamba at that election, becoming the first self-identified "labor" MP in Queensland.
