The Iowa House of Representatives is the lower house of the Iowa General Assembly, the upper house being the Iowa Senate. There are 100 seats in the Iowa House of Representatives, representing 100 single-member districts across the state, formed by dividing the 50 Senate districts in half. Blockton is a city in Taylor County, Iowa, United States. The population was 125 at the 2020 census. History Blockton was founded by the Mormons in 1861, and it was originally known as Mormontown. After the Mormons left the area, the Chicago Great Western Railway was built through the town and it was renamed Blockton in honor of W. T. Block, a railroad official. Northwest Missouri State University is a public university in Maryville, Missouri. It has an enrollment of about 8,505 students.
