''Ela Veezha Poonchira'' is an Indian Malayalam-language crime thriller film directed by Shahi Kabir, who is known for scripting ''Joseph'' and ''Nayattu''. Shahi Kabir (born 28 September 1978) is an Indian film director and scriptwriter for Malayalam cinema. He is the screenwriter for 'Joseph' (2018) directed by M. Padmakumar and for 'Nayattu' (2021), he won the National Film Award for Best Screenplay(Original) - 2023 at the 69th National Film Awards. He made his directorial debut with 'Ela Veezha Poonchira' for which he received the Best Debut Director Award at the 53rd Kerala State Film Awards. Ilaveezhapoonchira is a tourist destination located in Melukavu village in Kottayam district near Kanjar.
