''El árbol de Gabriel'' (English title: ''Gabriel's Family Tree'') is a Venezuelan telenovela written by Alberto Barrera Tyszka and produced by Venevisión. Jorge Reyes and Daniela Bascopé star as the main protagonists, while Cristobal Lander, Roxana Diaz, and Myriam Abreu star as the antagonists. On September 7, 2011, Venevisión started broadcasting ''El árbol de Gabriel'' weekdays at 9:00 pm, replacing ''La viuda joven''. A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Venevisión () is a Venezuelan free-to-air television channel and one of Venezuela's largest television networks, owned by the Cisneros Media division of Grupo Cisneros. Gabriel López (born 17 March 1991) is a Venezuelan singer and television actor. Biography Gabriel was born in a family with a performing arts background. His father Diony López was an executive producer, singer and songwriter. He began his career at the age of 9 as the host of the kids TV show ''El Club Disney''. Rhandy Piñango (born 29 November 1971) is a Venezuelan telenovela, film and theater actor. Biography Piñango was born in Caracas at the Maternidad Concepción Palacios hospital, being the only son to parents José de Jesús Piñango and Mariela Pinto. When he was a teenager, Piñango became attracted to drama and acting.
