El Hijo De Canis Lupus
Fernando Antonio Cornejo Soto (born October 9, 1998) is a masked Mexican professional wrestler (''luchador enmascarado'' in Spanish) best known under the ring name El Hijo de Canis Lupus. He is primarily known for working for International Wrestling Revolution Group and Pro Wrestling Noah where he portrays a '' tecnico'' ("Good guy") wrestling character. He previously worked under the ring names The Ram and Ram el Carnero. Cornejo is a second-generation wrestler, the son of Fernando Cornejo Camarena who used the name "Golpelador" as a wrestler. His younger brother is also a wrestler, known as Dragón Bane. While he portrays the son of Canis Lupus, they are not related. As El Hijo de Canis Lupus, Cornejo has won the IWRG Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship, IWRG Junior de Juniors Championship, IWRG Rey del Ring, and is currently one-half of the IWRG Intercontinental Tag Team Championship (with Rey Leon). Dragón Bane (born 3 December 1999) is a masked Mexican professional wrestler ('' luchador enmascarado'' in Spanish). He is primarily known for working for International Wrestling Revolution Group and Pro Wrestling Noah. In Noah, he is currently one-half the GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions. In IWRG, Dragón Bane has won the IWRG Intercontinental Middleweight Championship once and the IWRG Rey del Aire Championship twice. El Protector (2018)
El Protector (2018) was a major ''lucha libre'' event produced and scripted by Mexican professional wrestling promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG), which took place on January 31, 2016 in Arena Naucalpan, Naucalpan, State of Mexico, Mexico. The 2017 ''El Protector'' was the seventh annual event produced under that name. The focal point of the show was the ''El Protector'' tag team tournament where eight teams composed of a "rookie" and a "vet" team up to compete for as a way to showcase the "rookie" of the team. The 2018 El Protector tournament saw 8 teams of rookies and veterans wrestle in a single elimination tournament. A wrestling mask is a fabric-based mask that some professional wrestlers wear as part of their in-ring persona or gimmick. Professional wrestlers have been using masks as far back as 1915 and they are still widely used today, especially in Lucha Libre in Mexico. History At the 1865 World's Fair, Theobaud Bauer debuted the mask, wrestling as "The Masked Wrestler" in Paris, France. He continued wrestling using the mask throughout France as part of a circus troupe in the 1860s before moving on to the United States in the early 1870s. In 1915, Mort Henderson started wrestling as the "Masked Marvel" in the New York area making him the first North American wrestler to perform with such a gimmick. Lucha libre (, meaning "freestyle wrestling" or literally translated as "free fight") is the term used in Latin America for professional wrestling.
