Telenovela
A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Similar drama genres around the world include '' teleserye'' (Philippines), '' téléroman'' (Canada, specifically Quebec), and ''sinetron'' (Indonesia). Commonly described using the American colloquialism Spanish soap opera, many telenovelas share some stylistic and thematic similarities to the soap opera familiar to the English-speaking world. The significant difference is their series run length; telenovelas tell one self-contained story, typically within the span of a year or less whereas soap operas tend to have intertwined storylines told during indefinite, continuing runs. This makes them shorter than most other television series, but still much longer than a miniseries. Susana Freyre
Susana Guenola Zubiri (better known as Susana Freyre) is an Argentine actress. She appeared in 30 films and television shows between 1945 and 1984. She starred in the film ''Three Loves in Rio'', which was entered into the 9th Berlin International Film Festival. Her mother's surname is Vidal. She began his work in the cinema in 1945 in Las seis suegras de Barba Azul directed by Carlos Hugo Christensen (1914-1999), whom she married and who would direct most of the films in which she participated and accompanied him during his stay in Mexico. Among her performances she remembers the character of Paula, an aristocrat who came unless she worked as a "call girl" with Fernanda Mistral, in the film PAULA CAUTIVA (1963) in which she participated with Duilio Marzio, Lautaro Murua. Prudencia María Victoria Grifell Masip (27 December 1879 – 7 June 1970) was a Spanish-Mexican actress and comedian. Biography Early life Grifell was born to Spanish stage actors and started her acting career herself at the age of ten in theater in Venezuela and touring Spain and Latin America. By the 1900s she had become very popular and moved to Mexico to continue her career in stage, after the Spanish Civil War she decided not to go back to that country but instead to relocate in Mexico permanently after 1940. Career Three years later, already at the age of 61, she appeared in her first film ''Internado para señoritas'' ("Girls Boarding School") with the stars Mapy Cortés, Emilio Tuero and Katy Jurado. Fanny Schiller Hernández (3 August 1901 – 26 September 1971) was a Mexican award-winning character actress and television star, who also acted in operettas and musicals, during the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. She won two Ariel Awards for best supporting actress, and was nominated for two additional films. She was a social activist, creating the Actor's Union and inspiring the creation of “Rosa Mexicano”. She was accomplished at dubbing and was the voice of many animated characters as well as the official voice of several other notable Mexican actresses.
