''El Chigüire Bipolar'' (English language, English: ''The Bipolar Capybara'') is a comedic journalism and news satire portal, launched on 15 May 2008 by the Venezuelans Elio Casale, Oswaldo Graziani, and Juan Andrés Ravell, who are also the creators of the animated series ''Isla Presidencial, La isla presidencial''. The website and its creators belong to the media group Plop Media, based in Caracas and Miami. History The website initially became popular for mocking Hugo Chávez — by 2010, it was already surpassing main national news outlets in terms of views — though is also liked for its satirising of opposition politicians and regular Venezuelans alike, and has been compared to the similar American website ''The Onion''. The Human Rights Foundation (HRF) is a non-profit organization that focuses on promoting and protecting human rights globally, with an emphasis on closed societies. Oslo Freedom Forum (OFF) is a series of global conferences run by the New York-based non-profit Human Rights Foundation under the slogan "Challenging Power". Ayat Hassan Mohammed Al-Qurmezi ( ar, آيات حسن محمد القرمزي; also Al-Qormezi, al-Ghermezi; born 1 January 1991) is a poet and student at the University of Bahrain Teaching Institute in Bahrain. Václav Havel Prize for Creative Dissent is an award established in 2012 by the New York City-based Human Rights Foundation (HRF). According to HRF President Thor Halvorssen Mendoza, Thor Halvorssen, the prize recognizes individuals "who engage in creative dissent, exhibiting courage and creativity to challenge injustice and live in truth".
