Ejby is a suburb in greater Copenhagen in Glostrup Municipality, lying between Glostrup and Skovlunde. The municipality had a population of 22,357 as of 2015. It is located about from the city center of Copenhagen. Urban Area Of Copenhagen
The urban area of Copenhagen (also known as Greater Copenhagen) ( da, Storkøbenhavn or ), lying mostly in the Capital Region of Denmark but also in Region Zealand, consist of Copenhagen and Frederiksberg municipalities and the former Copenhagen County. In all, it consists of 18 municipalities, and except parts of Ballerup, Greve (of former Roskilde County), Ishøj, former Søllerød and former Værløse, mentioned with (the part of) their population included from 2007. Glostrup Kommune is a suburban municipality (Danish '' kommune'') and town in Region Hovedstaden on the island of Zealand (''Sjælland'') approx. 10 km west of Copenhagen in eastern Denmark. The municipality covers an area of 13.31 km², and has a total population of 23,128 (2020). Its Zip code (''Postnummer'') is 2600. Its mayor as of 2022 is Kasper Damsgaard, a member of the Social Democrats (''Socialdemokratiet'') political party. Glostrup is a Danish town in Region Hovedstaden, forming one of the western suburbs of Copenhagen. It is the administrative seat of Glostrup Municipality, with an estimated population of 22,357 . During the 20th century Glostrup developed from a small railroad town into a modern middle class suburb. The population reached a peak during the 1970s flight from central Copenhagen, but has since stabilized. While most of Copenhagens western suburbs are dominated by public housing projects, Glostrups mix is around the Danish average. Greater Copenhagen Light Rail
Greater Copenhagen Light Rail ( da, Hovedstadens Letbane) is a planned electric light rail system crossing the lines of the S-train in Greater Copenhagen, Denmark, parallel to but outside the borders of Copenhagen Municipality. Its first stage is known as the Ring 3 Light Rail, for which construction started in 2018. It will go from Lundtofte Park north of Copenhagen to Ishøj station in the southwest, and it is expected to open in 2025, with an annual ridership of 13-14 million projected.
