Eisley
Eisley is an American rock band from Tyler, Texas, originally consisting of siblings Sherri DuPree, Chauntelle DuPree, Stacy DuPree and Weston DuPree. Remaining recording/touring members are their sister Sherri DuPree-Bemis and their cousin Garron DuPree. Their name was inspired by the Star Wars saga (i.e. Mos Eisley). Since forming, the band has released five studio albums: ''Room Noises'' (2005), ''Combinations'' (2007), '' The Valley'' (2011), ''Currents'' (2013), and '' I'm Only Dreaming'' (2017), along with numerous EPs. Garron DuPree
Garron DuPree (born December 4, 1989) is a bass guitarist and recording engineer from Texas. DuPree began his career as a professional musician in 2005 at the age of 15 as the bassist for the group Eisley, and became the bassist for Say Anything in 2013. DuPree is also a recording engineer as well as a session musician. Personal life Garron was born in Houston, TX. and was raised in the surrounding cities of Richmond, and Sugar Land, Texas. He is the 2nd of 5 children from his mother, Parrish DuPree, and father, Wade DuPree. Surrounded by the more rural environments of Texas, Garron grew up in the country side owning several horses. He is a self-proclaimed Christian, along with the majority of his family, and grew up participating and playing music at his church in Texas. Mos Eisley
Mos Eisley is a spaceport town in the fictional ''Star Wars'' universe. Located on the planet Tatooine, it first appeared in the 1977 film ''Star Wars'', described by the character Obi-Wan Kenobi (played by Alec Guinness) as a "wretched hive of scum and villainy". A notable scene set in a seedy Mos Eisley cantina crowded with numerous alien races made a particular impact on audiences. ''Currents'' is the fourth full-length album by the band Eisley. It was released on May 28, 2013, on Equal Vision Records. The title-track song ''"Currents,"'' is the first official single from the album, and was publicly released on April 23, 2013. On April 16, 2013, Eisley released an online stream of the song ''"Drink The Water,"'' hosted by Nylon Magazine. The streaming of this song marked the first full-length song to be heard from ''Currents''. The album charted at number 66 on the ''Billboard'' 200, making it the group's highest-charting album to date. ''I'm Only Dreaming'' is the fifth full-length album by the band Eisley. It was released on February 17, 2017, on Equal Vision Records. The album was produced by notable producer Will Yip, and marked the band's first release following the departure of several original members, leaving cousins Sherri DuPree-Bemis, and Garron DuPree as the core members of the group for the first time. In September 2016, the band released their first song in over three years, "Defeatist", which marked the first song to be heard from the album. Dupree-Bemis mentioned via an interview that "Defeatist", along with several others from the album, were written predominately by Garron. Room Noises
''Room Noises'' is the first full-length album of the band Eisley. It was released on February 8, 2005 on Reprise Records. The album was placed at 9 among '' Paste'' magazine's top albums of 2005. The album had three singles: "Memories", "Telescope Eyes", and "I Wasn't Prepared". Music videos were made for each single, as well as "Marvelous Things". Track listing Charts Release Early promotional copies of this album included a remixed bonus track "Lost At Sea" at the end of the album. The band later decided to drop the bonus track from the official release. It later appeared on an Urban Outfitters compilation CD and on a radio promotional EP alongside "Telescope Eyes", "I Wasn't Prepared", and "Golly Sandra". ''Combinations'' is the second full-length album by the band Eisley. It was released on August 14, 2007. The first single for ''Combinations'' was "Invasion". Two music videos were intended to be shot for the single. One was a "viral video A viral video is a video that becomes popular through a viral process of Internet sharing, typically through video sharing websites such as YouTube as well as social media and email.Lu Jiang, Yajie Miao, Yi Yang, ZhenZhong Lan, Alexander Haupt ..." for YouTube and iTunes and another was rumored to be made for MTV and other media outlet, but due to assumed conflict with their label and confusion on how to market the band, only one video was made. Sucré (band)
Sucré is an indie pop band formed by vocalist Stacy King, formerly of Eisley. Her husband, Darren King, produces the music along with multi-instrumentalist and arranger Jeremy Larson. Sucré was formed in 2011 and started touring in 2012. Their first single, "When We Were Young", debuted in early 2012, and their debut album, ''A Minor Bird'', was released on April 10, 2012. The album was released streaming on HelloGiggles on April 9, 2012. For Valentine's Day 2014, Sucré premiered a music video of "You and Me" (made famous from the Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams film '' Blue Valentine'') with ''Nylon'' magazine. Say Anything (band)
Say Anything is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California. The band was formed in 2000 by Max Bemis and his friends, and within two years, self-released two EPs and a full-length album. In 2003, the band signed with their first label, Doghouse Records. A year later, they released their second album, '' ...Is a Real Boy''. To support the album, they picked up new members and began touring; however, despite rapidly growing critical and fan acclaim, Bemis' health problems, including bipolar disorder and drug addictions, sidelined the band in 2005 as five band members left during the year. Say Anything signed with J Records in 2005 and, following Bemis' successful rehabilitation, re-released ''...Is a Real Boy'' with their new label. Mutemath
Mutemath (sometimes styled as MuteMath or MUTEMATH) is an American alternative rock project founded by American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and record producer Paul Meany. Originally co-founded as a band with Darren King in 2002, Meany decided to continue Mutemath as a solo project following King's departure in 2017. Mutemath draws heavily from influences in 1960s and 1970s soul, psychedelic rock, and jam band styles, utilizing vintage guitars and amplifiers as well as Rhodes keyboards, synthesizers, and other electronic instruments such as the keytar.
