Until The Ink Runs Out
''Until The Ink Runs Out'' is the second full-length album released by metalcore band Eighteen Visions. It is often considered to be the bands' finest release by much of the older fans, as well as the record that gathered national attention for the band, due to the rising of Trustkill Records. The album was recorded in a four-day session at Doubletime Studios, where they had previously recorded twice (once for a demo sometime in 1999, and once for the No Time for Love session) for a budget of just over one grand. This was the band's first release to feature Keith Barney on guitar, and would ultimately be the last to feature Javier van Huss on bass. Good Life Recordings 12" vinyl came out first. The vinyl had the words "Hair Dressers of the World" on side A and "Unite!" on side B on the matrix runout. It was limited to a pressing of 1000 on black and 200 on pink. Trustkill then released the CD version which first came in digipaks, but in pressings after 2002 it was released in ...

Metalcore
Metalcore is a broadly defined fusion genre combining elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk, originating in the 1990s United States and becoming popular in the 2000s. Metalcore typically has aggressive verses and melodic choruses, combined with Breakdown (music), breakdowns – which are slow, intense passages conducive to moshing. Other defining traits are low-tuned, percussive guitar riffs, double bass drumming, and polished production. Vocalists typically switch between roaring or Screaming (music), screaming and clean, melodic, emotional singing. Lyrics are often personal, introspective and emotive. In the late 1980s to early 1990s, pioneering bands were founded such as Integrity (band), Integrity, Earth Crisis and Converge (band), Converge, whose hardcore punk-leaning style is sometimes referred to as metallic hardcore. These bands took influence from a range of styles and genres such as hardcore punk, thrash metal and death metal. During the decade, the genre diversifi ...

Shai Hulud
Shai Hulud is an American metalcore band formed in Pompano Beach, Florida, in 1995, and later based in Poughkeepsie, New York. The band is named after the giant sandworms in Frank Herbert's novel ''Dune''. History Early years (1995–1997) Matt Fox (guitar) and Dave Silber (bass) formed Shai Hulud in 1995 with Damien Moyal (formerly of Culture) on vocals, Jason Lederman on drums, and Oliver Chapoy on guitar. "Matt was playing in several other kinds of bands like rock bands and they just wanted to play some hardcore" says former bassist Jared Allen. However, things with Jason Lederman didn't work out and the band began to look for a new drummer. This, unfortunately, would be something the band would become accustomed to.
