AKN Eisenbahn
AKN Eisenbahn GmbH operates railway lines, commuter trains and freight trains in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein. Its headquarters is in Kaltenkirchen. Hamburg S-Bahn
The Hamburg S-Bahn is a suburban commuter railway network in the Hamburg Metropolitan Region. Together, the S-Bahn, the Hamburg U-Bahn, the AKN railway and the regional railway form the backbone of railway public transport in the city and the surrounding area. Elbgaustraße railway station is on the Hamburg-Altona–Kiel line and is served by the city trains located in Hamburg, Germany. The railway station is located in the quarter of Eidelstedt in the Eimsbüttel borough. After on 16 July 1922 the Eidelstedt marshalling yard (Verschiebebahnhof) had opened and, after the Reichsbahn had established railwaymen in company housings in the environs, a first station for suburban traffic was opened. Hamburg-Altona–Kiel Railway
The Hamburg-Altona–Kiel railway ( da, link=no, Christian VIII. Østersø Jernbane) is the oldest railway line in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein, and the first railway in Denmark or its dependencies at the time, and first to reach the Baltic Sea. (The Ludwigslust–Wismar railway is younger) Today, it connects Hamburg, Neumünster and Kiel. It is one of the first railways in Germany. Eimsbüttel () is one of the seven boroughs (Bezirke) of Hamburg, Germany. In 2020 the population was 269,118. History On March 1, 2008 Eimsbüttel lost part of its area to the borough Altona where it formed the Sternschanze quarter. Lurup () is a quarter in the Altona borough of the Free and Hanseatic city of Hamburg in northern Germany. It was formerly an independent village. In 2020 the population was 36,521. is a western quarter of the city of Hamburg in Germany, it is subject to the district/borough ''Bezirk Altona'' and was an independent settlement until 1890.
