''Ehenas'' is a Maldivian drama web television series developed for Baiskoafu by Ravee Farooq, based on the 2012 novel ''Ehenas Hama Loabiveyey'' by Ahmed Iqbal. Produced by Ahmed Iqbal under IQ Productions, the series stars Mohamed Vishal, Aishath Rishmy, Ahmed Maseeh, Fathimath Sara Adam, Mohamed Yunaan and Sheela Najeeb in pivotal roles. The film follows the experiences of a long-term domestic and sexually abused male victim and how he faces the societal obstacles of marriage. Washiya Mohamed (born 18 June 1999) is a Maldivian film actress. She made her career debut by playing one of the main roles in the sitcom web series, ''Thin Bibee'' (2019). Ahmed Sharif (Maldivian Actor)
Ahmed Sharif (born 31 August 1991) is a Maldivian film actor. Career Prior to acting, Sharif was more involved in the creative departments of the film where he served as a foley artist and a boom operator in Aishath Rishmy's romantic film '' Bos'' (2017). Impressed with the poster of ''Ehenas'' and thinking its a horror film, he contacted its casting director Rishmy who invited him to the audition of the series, where he was ultimately selected to play the role of Shinaz, a violent and short-tempered brother. Aishath Maahaa reviewing from ''Dho?'' praised the acting performance of the newcomers including Sharif. Mohamed Yunaan (born 26 May 1991) is a Maldivian former film actor. Career Prior to his official career debut with Aishath Rishmy-directed romantic drama '' Bos'' (2017), Yunaan acted in few office teledramas. In ''Bos'' he portrayed the role of an IT specialized intelligent blackmailer who turns into a depressed man following the downturn of love. Penned and produced by Fathimath Nahula, Yunaan termed the film as his "dream project" since he was raised in "Nahula's melodramatic universe". Nahula's selection to rope in Yunaan as the male lead was met with controversy, although she considered it as the "most firm and best decision" she took for the film. Ravee Farooq
Ravee Farooq is a Maldivian actor, director, editor and choreographer. Career Farooq made his film debut with Abdul Faththaah-directed romantic disaster film, '' Hureemey Inthizaarugaa'' (2005) cast along with Mariyam Zuhura, Waleedha Waleed, Ibrahim Jihad and Neena Saleem. The film, heavily relied on the effect of the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake on the Maldives, received favorable reviews from critics though it failed to perform financially. Farooq played the disrespectful husband who chose wealth above his family. His performance won a Miadhu Crystal Award for the Best Male Newcomer. Ali Azim
Ali Azim is a Maldivian film actor. Career 2010–2016: Early releases Azim expressed his interest in acting at a very young age. Before he pursued a career in acting Azim worked as a dancer and stage performer. He was first recognized by the audience for his facial expressions while dancing. While working in the Animation Dance Group, the team made a short children's film ''Lollypop'' with "no serious intention but for entertainment". Nuzuhath Shuaib (born 14 September 1988) is a Maldivian film actress. Early life Nuzuhath Shuaib was born on 14 September 1988 in N. Manadhoo. Ismail Jumaih is a Maldivian actor, choreographer and makeup artist. Career In 2016, Jumaih made his film debut in Hussain Munawwar's ''Neyngi Yaaru Vakivee'' alongside Aminath Rishfa and Ahmed Azmeel. Critics gave the film bad reviews and considered his performance as Sham, to be "boring" while criticising the character development. Ahmed Saeed is a Maldivian film actor and director. Career 1997–2010: Debut and early releases On 13 June 1997, Saeed made his screen debut in a video single alongside Hassan Afeef and Mariyam Nisha. Niuma Mohamed (pronounced ; 20 October 1977) is a Maldivian film actress, director, and producer. The highest-paid actress in Maldives, Mohamed is the recipient of several awards, including two Gaumee Film Awards, and four Maldives Film Awards.
