Egyptian Olympic Committee
The Egyptian Olympic Committee ( ar, اللجنة الأولمبية المصرية, abbreviated as EOC) is a non-profit organization serving as the National Olympic Committee of Egypt and a part of the International Olympic Committee. History The Egyptian Olympic Committee was founded during the Khedivate of Egypt on June 13, 1910 in Alexandria by Angelo Bolanaki, first Egyptian athlete who participated in international sport competitions outside country. Shooting At The 1936 Summer Olympics – Men's 25 Metre Rapid Fire Pistol
The men's ISSF 25 meter rapid fire pistol was a shooting sports event held as part of the Shooting at the 1936 Summer Olympics programme. It was the seventh appearance of the event. The competition was held on 6 August 1936 at the shooting ranges at Wannsee. 53 shooters from 22 nations competed. Nations were limited to three shooters each, as they had been since the 1932 Games.Official Report, vol. 2, p. 818. The top two places were taken by the hosts, as Germans Cornelius van Oyen and Heinrich Hax won gold and silver, respectively. Hax was the first man to earn multiple medals in the event, repeating his silver performance from 1932. Torsten Ullman of Sweden earned bronze. Mommsenstadion
The Mommsenstadion is a multi-purpose stadium in the locality of Westend in Berlin, Germany, named after the historian Theodor Mommsen. It is currently used mostly for football and hosts the home matches of Tennis Borussia Berlin and SCC Berlin. The stadium has a capacity of 15,005 people (13,200 standing), although the DFB have set an upper limit of 11,500 supporters for football games. The stadium opened on 17 August 1930 and replaced the former ground of SCC Berlin that fell prey to the extension of the neighbouring Messe Berlin fairgrounds. It soon adopted its name from a nearby gymnasium. The Mommsenstadion was the site of some football matches during the 1936 Summer Olympics and several ISTAF athletics meetings of the IAAF Golden League.
