Egerton Football Club is a football club based in Knutsford, Cheshire, England. They are currently members of the and play at Egerton Youth Club. History Egerton were formed in 2002 and was named after Maurice Egerton. In the 2017–18 season, Egerton received national media attention after the signings of former Football League players Jlloyd Samuel, Nathan Ellington and Dean Gorré. In the same season, Egerton finished fourth in the Cheshire League One, being promoted to the Premier Division in the process. Knutsford
Knutsford () is a market town in the borough of Cheshire East, in Cheshire, England. Knutsford is south-west of Manchester, north-west of Macclesfield and 12.5 miles (20 km) south-east of Warrington. The population at the 2011 Census was 13,191. Knutsford's main town centre streets, Princess Street (also known locally as Top Street) and King Street lower down (also known as Bottom Street), form the hub of the town. At one end of the narrow King Street is an entrance to Tatton Park. The Tatton estate was home to the Egerton family, and has given its name to Tatton parliamentary constituency, which includes the neighbouring communities of Alderley Edge and Wilmslow. 2019–20 FA Vase
The 2019–20 Buildbase FA Vase was the 46th season of the FA Vase, an annual football competition for teams playing below Step 4 of the English National League System. The competition was played with two qualifying rounds preceding the six proper rounds, semi-finals (played over two legs) and final to be played at Wembley Stadium. All first-leg ties until the semi-finals were played with extra time if level after 90 minutes – first-leg ties may also be resolved with penalties if both teams agree and notify the referee at least 45 minutes before kick-off, per rule 11a of the Rules of the Challenge Vase. The competition was paused at the semi-final stage due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Kingdom. The competition resumed in September 2020, but following new restrictions on gatherings in England the final was further postponed eventually being played on 3 May 2021. The Egerton family (pronunciation: "''edge-er-ton''") is a British aristocratic family. Over time, several members of the Egerton family were made Dukes, Earls, knights, baronets and peers. North West Counties Football League
The North West Counties Football League is a football league in the North West of England. Since 2019–20, the league has covered the Isle of Man, Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cumbria, northern Staffordshire, northern Shropshire, the far west of West Yorkshire, and the High Peak area of Derbyshire. In the past, the league has also hosted clubs from North Wales such as Caernarfon Town, Colwyn Bay and Rhyl. Cheshire Association Football League
The Cheshire Association Football League is a football competition based in Cheshire, England, which until 2007 was known as the Mid-Cheshire Association Football League. From season 2017–18, the league operates four divisions: the Premier Division, Divisions One and Two, and a Reserve Division. Founded in 1948, only one club (Knutsford) have maintained continuous membership since the formation of the league. Two other founder members have only recently left the league – Whitchurch Alport in 2012 and Barnton in the summer of 2014 . Dean Gorré
Dean Roberto Gorré (born 10 September 1970) is a Dutch-Surinamese football coach and former player. He is currently the interim coach of the Curaçao national team. Playing career Gorré made his debut on 20 April 1988 for SVV. He also went on to play for the merger club SVV/Dordrecht’90, as well as at Feyenoord, FC Groningen, Ajax, all in the Netherlands and Huddersfield Town, Barnsley and Blackpool in the United Kingdom.
