Efraïn Jonckheer
Efraïn Jonckheer (20 October 1917 – 30 March 1987) was a businessman and politician of the Netherlands Antilles. Jonckheer served as Prime Minister of the Netherlands Antilles from 8 November 1954 until 14 February 1968. He served as Minister Plenipotentiary of the Netherlands Antilles from 1968 until 1971, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Venezuela from 1971 until 1976, and to Costa Rica from 1976 until 1982. As of 2022, Jonckheer was the longest serving Prime Minister in the history of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Biography Jonckheer was born on 20 October 1917 in Curaçao. In 1933, he obtained his '' mulo'' (junior high school) diploma, and became director of several businesses. During World War II, he became politically active, and desired autonomy for the islands. Efraín Elías "El Caimán" Sánchez Casimiro (26 February 1926 – 16 January 2020) was a Colombian footballer who played as goalkeeper. He competed for the Colombia national football team at the 1962 FIFA World Cup which was held in Chile. Among other teams, he played for San Lorenzo of Argentina in the 1940s. He won the Colombian league title three times during his career. Career Sánchez played for Mexican side Club Atlas in 1959. Efraín Rivera Pérez
Efraín Rivera Pérez (1951- 15 September 2013) born in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, was a former Associate Justice on the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico. He held the position from 2000 to 2010. He died on 15 September 2013 in a motorcycle accident in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. Career Rivera received his law degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico. He served in various courts in Puerto Rico until 1992 when Governor Pedro Rosselló hired him to be his Legal Advisor. He also served as Deputy Secretary of Justice. In 2000 he was appointed to the Supreme Court by Governor Rosselló. He took the oath of office on July 13, 2000 after confirmation by the Senate. José Efraín Ríos Montt (; 16 June 1926 – 1 April 2018) was a Guatemalan military officer and politician who served as ''de facto'' President of Guatemala in 1982–83. His brief tenure as chief executive was one of the bloodiest periods in the long-running Guatemalan Civil War. Ríos Montt's counter-insurgency strategies significantly weakened the Marxist guerrillas organized under the umbrella of the Guatemalan National Revolutionary Unity (URNG), while also leading to accusations of war crimes and genocide perpetrated by the Guatemalan Army under his leadership. Efraín López Neris (born April 1, 1937) is a Sephardi Puerto Rican actor, producer and cinematographer that has had a long trajectory in Puerto Rico's national artistic scene. Born in Caguas in April 1, 1937, he had his start in Puerto Rican television in the 1960s by joining the cast of various comedy shows. Among his memorable television characters, "Don Florito" parodied great opera singers and operatic arias, a concept that predated that of Adam Sandler's Opera Man by at least fifteen years. Efraín Juárez Valdez (born 22 February 1988) is a Mexican former professional Association football, footballer and current assistant Manager (association football), manager of Standard Liege. He is the younger brother of former FC Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes. Early career He began his career in the basic forces of the Club Universidad Nacional, Pumas, being also a regular in practically all the youth categories of the Mexican team. Efraín Huerta (June 18, 1914 – February 3, 1982) was a Mexican poet and journalist. Born and raised in the state of Guanajuato, he moved to Mexico City initially to start a career in art. Unable to enter the Academy of San Carlos, he attended the Escuela Preparatoria Nacional, where he met writers such as Rafael Solana, Carmen Toscano and Octavio Paz. He had been writing poetry since he was young, but initially opted to attend law school; however, when he published his first book of poems, he left it to pursue writing full-time. As a poet, he published regularly from the 1930s to the 1980s, and as a journalist collaborated with over twenty newspapers and journals, under his own name and using pseudonyms. He was also active politically, a communist and Stalin supporter through his life with his social and political ideas finding their way into his writing. Efraín or Yeprem "Chico" Chacurian (22 February 1924 - 15 February 2019) was an Argentine-American soccer forward. He earned four caps, scoring one goal, as a member of the U.S. national team in 1953 and 1954. He was inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame in 1992. Professional career Chacurian was born in Argentina to Armenian immigrant parents. In 1939, he signed with Racing Club of the Argentine First Division. He was fifteen years old at the time. In 1947 at the age of twenty-three, he moved to the United States to live with relatives of his mother to find work when a players' strike in Argentina left him penniless. When he arrived in New York, he joined the semi-pro New York Armenians of the New York Eastern District League. In the six months he spent with the Armenians, he was named the league MVP as his team took the league title.
