Eesti Laul 2015
Estonia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song "Goodbye to Yesterday" written by Stig Rästa. The song was performed by Elina Born and Stig Rästa. The Estonian broadcaster Eesti Rahvusringhääling (ERR) organised the national final ''Eesti Laul 2015'' in order to select the Estonian entry for the 2015 contest in Vienna, Austria. The national final consisted of three shows: two semi-finals and a final. Ten songs competed in each semi-final and the top five from each semi-final as determined by a jury panel and public vote qualified to the final. In the final, the winner was selected over two rounds of voting. In the first round, a jury panel and a public vote selected the top three to qualify to the superfinal. In the superfinal, "Goodbye to Yesterday" performed by Elina Born and Stig Rästa was selected as the winner entirely by a public vote. Elina Born
Elina Born (born 29 June 1994) is an Estonian singer. She represented Estonia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 along with Stig Rästa with the song " Goodbye to Yesterday". She previously attempted to represent Estonia in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2013 with the song "Enough", and attempted to represent Estonia at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2017 finishing last in the final. She was the runner-up of the fifth season of ''Eesti otsib superstaari''. Biography Early life Elina Born was born on 29 June 1994 in Lehtse, Estonia. Raadio 2 is Estonian radio station. It belongs to Estonian Public Broadcasting (formerly Estonian Radio) and started broadcasting on 1 May 1993. Delfi (occasionally capitalized as DELFI) is a news website in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania providing daily news, ranging from gardening to politics. It ranks as one of the most popular websites among Baltic users. Delfi operates in the respective Baltic countries under the domain names delfi.ee, delfi.lv, and delfi.lt. Olav Osolin (born 13 November 1953 in Tallinn) is an Estonian journalist, advertisement figure, radio and television personality and actor. In 1977 he graduated from University of Tartu, Tartu State University in Estonian philology. 1977-1981 he worked as a journalist at Eesti Rahvusringhääling, Eesti Raadio. Luisa Rõivas (née Värk; born 6 February 1987) is an Estonian singer and politician. Värk was a runner-up of on the first season of ''Estonian Pop Idol'' (''Eesti otsib superstaari''). She was also a runner-up on ''Tantsud tähtedega'', Estonia's version of ''Dancing with the Stars''. Her dancing partner was Martin Parmas. Malcolm Lincoln are an Estonian band that formed in October 2009. The members are Robin Juhkental, Jakob Juhkam, Siim Raidma, Ott Adamson, Johan Alexander Petti and Hans Kurvits. The original lineup consisted of Robin Juhkental (vocals/electronics) and Madis Kubu (bass). Juhkental has described their style as "electronic pop with a slightly quirky undertone". Robin Juhkental
Robin Juhkental (born 20 May 1988 in Tallinn, Estonia) is an Estonian singer. He is the frontman of Malcolm Lincoln. Juhkental has studied in Kivimäe põhikool and Tallinna Nõmme Gümnaasium. He has also studied road engineering in Tallinn University of Applied Sciences. Juhkental has never taken any singing lessons. He has participated in the ''Kaks takti ette'' (2007) and ''Eesti otsib superstaari'' (2009) television shows as a contestant.
